Family Gift

Happy Holidays to you and yours. Today, I am sharing a Christmas gift I made for my husband's family. I knew I wanted to do some art for them and last weekend I was able to get it done. This year, I have been in love with coral, pinks and aqua, so I continued my color obsession. Take a look. Love the airy feel of the colors. MY FAMILY! Ron and I are on the right. :) I will add a quote to the top and frame each picture. I can't wait to see how they like this gift.

Photo Cards for Mom

I love making cards and my latest cards were for my dear mother-in-law. She had a great birthday party in July and I wanted to make a few photo cards with some of the pictures from that day. Love this card! I carried the silver glitter paper on the inside with some heart-felt words I wrote for her. This is an accordion card. I made a little pocket on the far left to hold the extra picture. On Sunday, we took her and my father-in-law out for lunch and she loved the cards. That always feels great. Thanks for stopping by!

Painting on Cardboard

I recently bought some curtains and I noticed the cardboard they were wrapped around was a cute shape. So as an artist what did I do... painted on it of course. LOL! Here are some of my experimental fun paintings. Are you playing this Summer? Find something new to try and have fun!

New Art for Living Room

Hey y'all I hope you are all having a nice Summer. I have been painting more florals and here is one I did for my living area. I have been redecorating this room and wanted to create some art that had my colors of coral, aqua, cream and gold. I was doing a practice picture on large water color paper. Then, I was going to redo it on a 16x20 canvas. But the picture turned out so good, I decided to go with the practice one. I looks great on my wall. Take a look.   I will be posting more art from this Summer soon. Thanks for visiting!

NEW Art Show Video

Happy Summer! I hope you all are enjoying it so far. Here is my NEW art show video called "Kelly's Florals." This is my 6th video featuring my art journey. Earlier this year I wanted to learn to paint flowers. So I watched some You Tube videos and started practicing. This video is a collection of pictures showing my first efforts up until now. Check it out and enjoy! If you would like to see my other art shows they are listed on the right side of this blog.

Christmas Cards Day 4 (final)

Welcome! This is my final post of 2017 Christmas cards. I love watching Anna Griffin on HSN and when I saw her Christmas shaker cards, I had to get them. They were so fun to make and gave me a creative break from all my original designed cards. The kit included the card base, envelops, layers, frames for the cut outs, sequin shaker packages, embellishments and sentiments. All with adhesive except the bows. I think it was enough for 30 cards. Take a look!     Aren't these terrific? I still love making my own cards and designs but adding a predesigned kit to my routine is a great idea. My loved one enjoyed these cards and so did I.     If you missed my other Christmas cards, check them on my previous blog post. Thanks for visiting and I hope you were inspired.

Christmas Cards Day 3

Welcome to day 3 of my Christmas card review.  I made these two mini album cards for some loved ones. I enjoyed using Echo Park patterned paper and stickers. Such a keepsake.     Love the pocket on the left with the little note card in it. This next one is a tri-fold card. It also includes pockets for notes and gift cards. Thanks for looking and I have one more day to share. Have a nice day.

Christmas Cards Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of my Christmas card post. Not only did I make cards but I made a few mini album cards. I used Echo Park holiday collection   This album was made for my mom and turned out so cute. Take a look!     Loved adding the pocket on the left.   Here is another one I made as a gift. I love the little truck with the bold black and white striped paper.       Hope you enjoyed and I will be sharing more cards this week for Day 3. Have a nice day!
