Is It Ok To Smile? Scrapbook Layout Thoughts

This year, I have  had so much fun creating scrapbook pages. I haven't made this many layouts in like forever!!! LOL! They have become more like journal pages in 12 x 12 size. Most of the time, I tell the technical details behind my pages. But today, I will be sharing the story behind the title "Imagine That." This page was so fun to create and really captured the spirit of my picture.  The day I took that picture was a good day. I felt so happy and joyful. Then, I thought how am I this happy in the middle of this global pandemic, social injustice, hurricanes and political unrest? Is it ok to take a break from the stress of our world? Well, this day I said, "HECK YEAH!" 2020 has been a devastating year full of so much fear and instability. Most of us have been at home more than ever and wearing our sweats and t-shirts. It has been a time of embracing anything that feels comforting and cozy. But this day, I put on a new dress, makeup and a sm

Monochromatic In White Layout

Hey everyone! Have you ever done a monochromatic scrapbook layout? Well, I saw one in the gallery on  Scrapbook dot com and I was inspired to try it. I love using some color and was tempted to add other soft colors but resisted! LOL! The picture had some lavender on the cake and I added a tiny bit of it to the title "love." A few years ago, my sweet mother-in-law was given a surprise birthday party at her church. It was an amazing event and I just loved this picture of her cutting her cake. I wrote all about the event and hid the journaling behind the picture. This layout was featured on my latest YouTube video entitled, "My 6 Quarantine Favorite Craft Buys- PART 2" if you missed it. These flower dies were the 6th item on my favorite craft supply list.   Link Here I used Sizzix flower dies, Anna Griffin's floral embossing folder for the strips and leaves, "love" and swirl dies. My Featured Scrapbook Layout

Hello everyone! I am excited to share my happy news. Last Thursday, July 31 my friend told me that one of my layouts was featured on Scrapbook dot com!!!! I was so surprised and elated. It was on their gallery's front page with a few other selected projects. This made my day! I am normally a card maker but during this quarantine, I have had a renewed passion for scrapbooking. As a result, I have made more pages than I have done in a long while. So this was a nice reward and validation of all my work. Here is a closer look. I used Simple Stories patterned papers and sticker banners from their "Simple Vintage Garden District" collection I got from Scrapbook dot com. The white title and heart came from Craft Factory Creations and HSN. Thanks for stopping by and "Celebrate Today!"
