Happy Sunday! The last few weeks have been filled with excitement and pride. My art has been on display at the Stay Gallery for their group art show and what a joy it's been.  Hi everyone! Need more craft inspiration? Well, check out some of my creative video tutorials from the last few months on my YouTube channel. First, I loved using these two new Julie Nutting Doll stamps "Jayla" and "Kelly."  Happy September! This Summer,  I saw a "call for artists" announcement on Instagram from the  Stay Gallery , my local art gallery. I had never entered an application for consideration before and thought I would give it a try. A few days after I submitted my application, I got an email invitation to be a part of this group art exhibit! I was so surprised and overwhelmed with joy.  Opening night is tomorrow Friday, September 10th and will run until Friday, October 15th. Isn't this so cool?  After weeks of preparing and waiting, the moment is finally here. I submitted my art entitled "Field of Rest." I got to meet the gallery's organizer and director as well as some of the other artists. This is a small city funded gallery but they host excellent exhibits and events. Waving hello to you all! I have really enjoyed scrapbooking this month and have made several fun pages. Last week through this weekend, I was surprised to see two of my layouts were featured on Scrapbook.com !!! What an honor to be selected out of all the amazing pages there. Take a look! So cool to see both layouts at the same time. Normally, it's one or the other on this featured page. The butterfly layout was so fun to create. I have a video tutorial up now if you want to see how I created it. Supplies used were Vicki Boutin's "Color Study" black patterned paper and Amy Tangerine's "Brave & Bold" butterfly patterned paper. Happy Summer everyone! Here is a NEW YouTube video for you. Recently, I bought patterned paper and other products from Vicki Boutin's "Color Study" and Amy Tangerine's "Brave & Bold" collections. I brought both paper collections at Joann but you can also find them at most craft stores. I just love the themes and colors of both collections. I was excited to create with them for this butterfly tutorial. In this video, I shared how I made this butterfly wreath on this black background. So fun to create and I hope you give it a try! This week, I was on Instagram and saw people posting these cute 3-D animated pictures of themselves. I went to the app called Voila and created mine. You just add a picture, select the style and the app turns your face into cute images. Take a look at some of the pictures from this app! These are the 3-D pictures. They also have 2-D. They also have a feature called "Renaissance" that creates vintage style pictures. Of course, I had to make some with Ron's cute face, too. I hope you all enjoyed these fun pictures from Voila! Today, I was on TV!!! I was apart of The Kelly Clarkson Show's virtual audience that aired on NBC at 2:00 PM PST! I have been checking every week since April to see when my episode would air and it finally came on. The guests included Sherri Shepard, Rob Riggle and Charles Melton.  I wore my hot pink dress and was excited that I was on the second row instead of the back. Here is a video clip of the show. Look for me on the left side of the screen. VIDEO LINK HERE How did this all come about? In April, I signed up to be apart of the show's audience. I had never done this before and thought it would be a fun activity while we were still house bound. 1iota.com  is where I summitted my request for tickets and they had several shows looking for audience members. I picked The Kelly Clarkson Show and within a day I was accepted for the April 29, 2021 date. On the morning of the show, I was so excited and a little nervous! The taping started at 10:30 AM but I had to check in at 9:30AM.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! In celebration of this cause, I dedicated my NEW "Story Time With..." YouTube video to this month's awareness.  "Field of Rest" is the art featured in this story and it tells my self care journey of rest and renewal. #permissiontorest In 2016,  I painted "Field of Rest." It is one of my favorite art pieces and was so fun to paint. I love seeing the process pictures of how the art came about. Check it out! Video Link HERE Mental health awareness is so personal for me. I have lived with various degrees of depression and anxiety over the years. Many resources have helped me and I am on a mission to help others with my experiences and art. One of the lessons I am still learning is to REST! This is the message of this art video and my advice to others. Taking time to recharge ones batteries is so critical to wellness. How do you rest?
