Inspired Me

Happy almost August! I can't believe how fast this year is going. But I hope it has been good for you so far. While I still love creating cards, I do love trying new arts and crafts. So this Summer, I have dived into mixed media art journaling. I have watched  Donna Downey  for years and love her Inspiration Wednesday videos.  So I wanted to try my hand at her style of journaling.  I have enjoyed watercolors over the years but wanted to play around with acrylic paints. So off to Michael's I went getting supplies. Glad they were having some good sales on art supplies, too. Yippee! After years of making nice and neat creations, this journaling lets me get in touch with my spontaneous, playful, adventurerous, emotional and messy sides. Donna has such a free spirited way to creating and I am inspired by it.  And when she was using her fingers to paint, I was in! Play time! Yeah!  I am having a blast trying her techniques and hope to keep watching her videos for more ideas. Th
