Lazy Summer Note Card Collection

Happy June everyone! I hope your Summer has started off great. Today I am sharing some cute new note cards from my "Lazy Summer" collection. After making tons of 6x6 cards it is a great change to make these smaller cards.

As mentioned on another blog post, I used Crate Paper's "Pretty Party" patterned paper for some of these cards. The patterns feel like a warm Summer day. I would like to give credit to one of the Two Peas members for the hand cut flower and pearl idea. Here is her page that inspired the following cards. Beautiful!

Here is the first group of cards I made using this fun idea. I also distressed the edges of the flowers and larger piece of paper with brown ink. Gave it a nice vintage feel.

Now, here are some other cards I made using ribbon. I just love these floral patterns papers, too.

Used Echo Park patterned paper of these. Can't remember if the gingham is EP, too.

I love this soft yellow ribbon. I even distressed the edges with green ink. Paper is from My Mind's Eye.

Hope you enjoyed these note cards. I had fun making them!

Vintage Love is Here

I love making greeting cards for Valentine's Day. When my husband and I were dating, he started a tradition of giving each other cards for special occasions. I hadn't been a big card person then but after he started giving me so many great cards, I loved it. I loved giving as much as receiving them. Valentine's Day was one of the best times to get a wonderful card from him. So you can say, he is one of the reasons I got into card making. I loved that feeling of receiving a card from someone I loved and loved me. So with that in mind, we are happy to introduce our "Vintage Love" Collection . I enjoyed creating a daytime and night time versions of these cards. I love the variety that came from my limited supplies. If you need a special card for your loved ones, they will be available in our Etsy store (  www.kellyron.etsy.com   ) for $5.00 each plus shipping and handling . Also, if you would like us to type your expressions on the inside of the card or a organ...

Live Forward

Happy October to all! I am getting ready for the holidays already and hope to have some Christmas cards to share soon. While I am in card mode and am still enjoying creating faces and painting. Here is one of the last ones I did called, "Live Forward." Just a reminded to keeping looking ahead in life. Driving like life is supposed to be done by looking through the windshield not the rear view window. (Oh, that is a good one. LOL!) Also, I loved using strips of patterned paper in the background. Then painted over them with layers of colors and then added stamps and that face. Isn't she pretty? I am so proud I am learning to draw profiles. They have been hard to do but I am starting to get it. Take a look! Thanks for looking and hope you have a terrific day!

Our Romantic Anniversary Dinner

Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been great.  Today I wanted  to share some of our wedding anniversary pictures with you.  Last Sunday, my hubby arranged for us to have a romantic dinner at the very place where we had our wedding reception.  I was so excited when I found out that they set up a table for us to have the whole banquet room to ourselves.  How great was that??? The restaurant is right on the bay and has the most spectacular  views.  So when we arrived they had a table set up for us right by the windows so we could get an even better view.  They had the rest of the room set up for an event but I still could remember how it looked the night of our wedding with the lights and the dance floor.  Plus the left side of the room is nothing but windows so you can see more of this secluded bay. So as we dined we watched the sunset and it was so fabulous.  Even at night all the lights from the surroundin...
