Bow Ties 4 Dads

For Father's Day, I got an idea to use this bow tie template I saw online. Here is the link from How About Orange So easy to make and adorable. I used a paper bag as the base and cut the top off to make it a 6x6 size.

The inside panel was just right for journaling our thoughts on the front and back. Alone with patterned paper and a few stickers this gift was just right for my father in-law and brother in-law.

Take a look!

A nice pouch for my journaling panel.

The metal piece was just right too.

The back of the card.

Here are a few stickers I added.
Here is the back where lots of journaling was written.

Here is another one with the rich wood grain patterned paper. This was given to my father in-law.

I added some foam sponge inside the bow to keep it uplifted.

On both sides I distressed the edges with brown ink and ripped it up some.

Thanks for looking and have a nice day!

Vintage Love is Here

I love making greeting cards for Valentine's Day. When my husband and I were dating, he started a tradition of giving each other cards for special occasions. I hadn't been a big card person then but after he started giving me so many great cards, I loved it. I loved giving as much as receiving them. Valentine's Day was one of the best times to get a wonderful card from him. So you can say, he is one of the reasons I got into card making. I loved that feeling of receiving a card from someone I loved and loved me. So with that in mind, we are happy to introduce our "Vintage Love" Collection . I enjoyed creating a daytime and night time versions of these cards. I love the variety that came from my limited supplies. If you need a special card for your loved ones, they will be available in our Etsy store (  www.kellyron.etsy.com   ) for $5.00 each plus shipping and handling . Also, if you would like us to type your expressions on the inside of the card or a organ...

Happy Birthday "Inspired Me" ! Yes, today my blog is one year's old. I remember a year ago I was so excited to start. I wasn't sure what journey this would take me on but now I can say it has been a fantastic so far. Here is the link to my very first post. Finally My First Entry I have met so many new people. I thank you all for visiting my world and cheering for me. You all are the best! I have watched myself grow as an artist. I never thought I would be creative in this way but so glad to see that side of me emerging with more confidence and style. Here are some of the things that happened over this year: Got on my first design team at Scrapping the Moments. Won layout of the week a few times. Attended my 1st Scrapbook Expo. Won a card challenge at Papercraft Magazine. Took a super fun floral arrangement class. Played around with more painting. Started our greeting card business. Featured by L.A. Live Forward

Happy October to all! I am getting ready for the holidays already and hope to have some Christmas cards to share soon. While I am in card mode and am still enjoying creating faces and painting. Here is one of the last ones I did called, "Live Forward." Just a reminded to keeping looking ahead in life. Driving like life is supposed to be done by looking through the windshield not the rear view window. (Oh, that is a good one. LOL!) Also, I loved using strips of patterned paper in the background. Then painted over them with layers of colors and then added stamps and that face. Isn't she pretty? I am so proud I am learning to draw profiles. They have been hard to do but I am starting to get it. Take a look! Thanks for looking and hope you have a terrific day!
