Looking Back- K. Simone Designs

Happy Summer! I hope you are enjoying yourselves so far. I know many of you have heard of #throwbackthursday on social media. So this  #throwbacksunday. LOL!

Last May, we reactivated our K. Simone Designs greeting card business.  Since then, we have been planning and working on some new goals. Doing all this has taken me back down memory. Boy, I have made SO many cards and we were fortunate to have some great experiences, too.

Today, I will be sharing one of my favorite experiences from 2011, our first year in business. Some of you may remember I blogged about our first opportunity to sell our cards at actress Tori Spelling's former store, Inventori. That was such an amazing time and gave us great excitement and joy.

Then, later that year,  I was able to met Tori at a store event. She was so lovely and encouraging.

Hope you all enjoyed this blast to the past and I hope to share any new updates as the year goes on. 

Now back to work for this year's cards. Go K. Simone Designs, go! LOL!

    I remember this as though it was yesterday! It was a very exciting time for you and Ron! I thought how awesome to create such beautiful cards that someone would sell them in there shop let alone in Ca. Was that really five years ago Kelly? Time flies doesn't it. I am trying to think back to how long I have been scrapping and how long we have been friends. No matter I love your creativity and the energy you have for all the different aspects of it for example how you taught yourself to draw. I hope you continue to let your creativity grow. You are so AWESOME!!!

      Thanks so much Cindy! Like I told Nylene, I am so glad I met you gals. All the encouragement and support you still give me is wonderful. I was trying to figure out how long we have been friends. Maybe since 2010? Have to think about that. But thanks again!

    Was that clear back in 2011? I think about it often. I am so glad you are reactivating your card business. More people need to be blessed by receiving one of your beautiful cards! I loved reliving this memory with you.

    I remember seeing this on 2peas before I really hung out with the pokey's. So cool. Glad you shared the memory. You're cards are fabulous and I'm very glad that you are reworking your business.

Relaunch of Our Business

Kelly & Ron Roberts Today, Ron and I are announcing the relaunch of our K. Simone Designs business. For those of you that are new to our work and site, click   ABOUT US   for more information.   In short, we started our business selling my handmade greeting cards in 2011. We sold and donated lots of cards and enjoyed bringing smiles to our customer's faces. In 2019, we took a long break. Since then, art has become my main interest and I have been drawing, painting and improving my skills. Art has been a wonderful outlet and joy for me and I have loved encouraging others with these creations.  So now K. Simone Designs will focus on our Inspired Art business. Our greeting cards are on hold for now but they are still apart of our brand. Also, I will continue to create YouTube papercrafting videos and add more resources to my arts and crafts directory. Emmy's 2010

Did you watch the red carpet last night for the Emmy's? I love watching these award show red carpets more than the show itself.  I just saw the pictures online. One the sites I looked at was radaronline.com. These pictures are from there. First, I liked the navy blue one.  The dress had lots of drama and she wore it well. The purple one was interesting.  Still trying to decide if I like it. Maybe it would have been better with the layers on the bottom but not both.  I really love the color and the idea. Maybe a little too much going on. radaronline.com This next dress worn by Eva Longoria was so pretty. The black flowers on the bottom of the dress was so stunning! She looked  great, too. Valentine's Cards

Happy belated Valentine's Day. I hope it was a sweet one for you all. I just love making greeting cards for this holiday.  Nornally for Valentine's I make red and black cards which I love but this year I decided to add some pastel colored cards to my collection. Earlier this year, I made some cards with this beautiful paper pad from Michael's. I loved it so much, I just had to see if I could use it for Valentine's and they look great to me. Details:  Recollections Paper is from Michael's 6x6 paper pad called "Blush and Mint."  Flowers made with my Spellbinders scalloped circles.  Take a look! Do you feel the love? LOL!
