Looking Back- K. Simone Designs

Happy Summer! I hope you are enjoying yourselves so far. I know many of you have heard of #throwbackthursday on social media. So this  #throwbacksunday. LOL!

Last May, we reactivated our K. Simone Designs greeting card business.  Since then, we have been planning and working on some new goals. Doing all this has taken me back down memory. Boy, I have made SO many cards and we were fortunate to have some great experiences, too.

Today, I will be sharing one of my favorite experiences from 2011, our first year in business. Some of you may remember I blogged about our first opportunity to sell our cards at actress Tori Spelling's former store, Inventori. That was such an amazing time and gave us great excitement and joy.

Ron and I at Inventori. Didn't my card babies look good on that table? :)

Her staff was so kind and worked well with us.

Then, later that year,  I was able to met Tori at a store event. She was so lovely and encouraging.

Hope you all enjoyed this blast to the past and I hope to share any new updates as the year goes on.

Now back to work for this year's cards. Go K. Simone Designs, go! LOL!

  2. I remember this as though it was yesterday! It was a very exciting time for you and Ron! I thought how awesome to create such beautiful cards that someone would sell them in there shop let alone in Ca. Was that really five years ago Kelly? Time flies doesn't it. I am trying to think back to how long I have been scrapping and how long we have been friends. No matter I love your creativity and the energy you have for all the different aspects of it for example how you taught yourself to draw. I hope you continue to let your creativity grow. You are so AWESOME!!!

    1. Thanks so much Cindy! Like I told Nylene, I am so glad I met you gals. All the encouragement and support you still give me is wonderful. I was trying to figure out how long we have been friends. Maybe since 2010? Have to think about that. But thanks again!

Vintage Love is Here

I love making greeting cards for Valentine's Day. When my husband and I were dating, he started a tradition of giving each other cards for special occasions. I hadn't been a big card person then but after he started giving me so many great cards, I loved it. I loved giving as much as receiving them. Valentine's Day was one of the best times to get a wonderful card from him. So you can say, he is one of the reasons I got into card making. I loved that feeling of receiving a card from someone I loved and loved me. So with that in mind, we are happy to introduce our "Vintage Love" Collection . I enjoyed creating a daytime and night time versions of these cards. I love the variety that came from my limited supplies. If you need a special card for your loved ones, they will be available in our Etsy store (  www.kellyron.etsy.com   ) for $5.00 each plus shipping and handling . Also, if you would like us to type your expressions on the inside of the card or a organ...

Live Forward

Happy October to all! I am getting ready for the holidays already and hope to have some Christmas cards to share soon. While I am in card mode and am still enjoying creating faces and painting. Here is one of the last ones I did called, "Live Forward." Just a reminded to keeping looking ahead in life. Driving like life is supposed to be done by looking through the windshield not the rear view window. (Oh, that is a good one. LOL!) Also, I loved using strips of patterned paper in the background. Then painted over them with layers of colors and then added stamps and that face. Isn't she pretty? I am so proud I am learning to draw profiles. They have been hard to do but I am starting to get it. Take a look! Thanks for looking and hope you have a terrific day!

Our Romantic Anniversary Dinner

Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been great.  Today I wanted  to share some of our wedding anniversary pictures with you.  Last Sunday, my hubby arranged for us to have a romantic dinner at the very place where we had our wedding reception.  I was so excited when I found out that they set up a table for us to have the whole banquet room to ourselves.  How great was that??? The restaurant is right on the bay and has the most spectacular  views.  So when we arrived they had a table set up for us right by the windows so we could get an even better view.  They had the rest of the room set up for an event but I still could remember how it looked the night of our wedding with the lights and the dance floor.  Plus the left side of the room is nothing but windows so you can see more of this secluded bay. So as we dined we watched the sunset and it was so fabulous.  Even at night all the lights from the surroundin...
