What's NEW Over At My Arts & Crafts Directory

Happy Spring! Did you all know I have an online arts and crafts resource directory called, "Inspired Me 411?" Yes, I do! LOL! I created it as a way to keep up with all the resources I was finding and decided to share in in 2020. Since then, I have continued to update the site with more to help those of you new to a craft or seasoned veterens.

 The website main pages include:

  • About 411 & Me (Learn more about the site and my story into crafts.)
  • Art Business (Lots of resources for artist to grow their business.)
  • Papercrafts (Includes scrapbooking, cards, stamping and more.)
  • Art & Art Journaling (Lists of artists in mixed media, watercolor, and acrylic.)
  • Fiber Arts  (Includes knitting, needlepoint, crocheting and more.)
  • Craft Business  (Various resources like marketing, website info and social media.)
  • Mind & Body  (Articles about the mental and physical benefits of arts and crafts.)
  • General Crafts (Includes cooking, florals, jewelry making and more)
  • Events & Organizations (Multiple lists of annual events in the craft world as well as organizations.)
Here's a look at a few of the latest blog posts. Subscribe while you are there, too! Thanks!
I listed three upcoming events for all you crafters and artists. More events to be listed soon.
I loved this mini album style card and shared how I made it with her class.
This is a new to me art form I am seeing all over YouTube. I have tried it and it is soothing and releases tension. No art skills required!

Arts and crafts have been a great joy and medicine for me and I hope this directory helps you in countless ways. Leave a comment if you have found Inspired Me 411 helpful. Thank you and have a nice day!

Relaunch of Our Business

Kelly & Ron Roberts Today, Ron and I are announcing the relaunch of our K. Simone Designs business. For those of you that are new to our work and site, click   ABOUT US   for more information.   In short, we started our business selling my handmade greeting cards in 2011. We sold and donated lots of cards and enjoyed bringing smiles to our customer's faces. In 2019, we took a long break. Since then, art has become my main interest and I have been drawing, painting and improving my skills. Art has been a wonderful outlet and joy for me and I have loved encouraging others with these creations.  So now K. Simone Designs will focus on our Inspired Art business. Our greeting cards are on hold for now but they are still apart of our brand. Also, I will continue to create YouTube papercrafting videos and add more resources to my arts and crafts directory. Our goal with all these creative products is to inspire others with love, hope, joy and peace. Here are so...

My Birthday Blog Party

Welcome to my Birthday Blog Party! I am starting my celebration early to fully enjoy my day. My actual birthday is May 29th but why not start early right? :) When I think of birthdays past, they were always such exciting times for me. Many of my birthdays were celebrated with fun parties from my childhood to my young adult years. I loved all of those special parties and to this day, I still love it. Maybe this is where my love for event planning all started. At my 3rd birthday, my parents gave me a big one. I don't really remember but the pictures are so cool. I had lots of kids there, a clown, a little merry-go-round ride and lots of games. I had a white little outfit on and was looking so cute for a Spring party. Boy, I looked so happy! Also, I was brave not to be afraid of the clown, too. My mom was holding me as I blew the candles out. Another year, I had my first slumber party. That was so fun! I invited several friends and ...

Happy Hearts

Today I will be sharing one a several painting I recently finished. This one is one of my favorites. I wanted to try two faces and just love how they turned out. It was fun going crazy with the multi-colored background. The hearts were made using my new favorite thing to make from toilet paper rolls- STAMPS.  I saw them on Julie Balzer's blog. Toilet Paper Tube Stamps  Then I used my fingers to paint the inside of the hearts. So neat! Take a look and I hope you feel the love and joy in this piece. Aren't the afro's fabulous!!! LOL! They were my first try and look pretty darn good. The little girls afro puff is so cute and reminds me of the ones I had as a child.   I love the hearts on their clothes. I used my stencil to make the design then painted around just to show the insides. Hope you enjoyed and come back this week to see some other paintings. Have a good one!
