Our Romantic Anniversary Dinner

Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been great.  Today I wanted  to share some of our wedding anniversary pictures with you.  Last Sunday, my hubby arranged for us to have a romantic dinner at the very place where we had our wedding reception.  I was so excited when I found out that they set up a table for us to have the whole banquet room to ourselves.  How great was that??? The restaurant is right on the bay and has the most spectacular  views.  So when we arrived they had a table set up for us right by the windows so we could get an even better view.  They had the rest of the room set up for an event but I still could remember how it looked the night of our wedding with the lights and the dance floor.  Plus the left side of the room is nothing but windows so you can see more of this secluded bay. So as we dined we watched the sunset and it was so fabulous.  Even at night all the lights from the surroundin...

Anniversary Projects

I loved making this layout and card in celebration of our wedding anniversary we just celebrated.  This picture was on my craft table for a while and I couldn't figure out what to do with it. Then after some days of sitting and also watching the "Seeing Double" challenge over at Two Peas, inspiration hit me.   Our wedding colors were red and silver so I used the various embellishments to tie it all together. I created the flowers with my Spellbinder dies and some leftover Christmas paper from Anna Griffin. Doesn't it look like the picture is on a bed of red roses? Just love how it turned out.   Also, I added the satin silver ribbon, the bling swirls and dots and the black glitter stickers for 7th yr.  For the title label, I stamped and heat embossed.         On the card, I used the same elements and rounded the corners. The inside paper housed my heart felt sentiments and a the same picture in red.   ...

Christmas Scrapbooking

Hope 2013 is going well for you all so far. I have been in scrapbook heaven creating lots of pages. It's been a while since I have done this but it felt so good. Also, since I had so much Christmas patterned paper left, it felt nice to use some of it up. These pages center around Christmas trees.  We enjoy decorating our tree but we saw some spectacular ones on our vacation. So sit back and enjoy the trees.   I used Anna Griffin patterned paper on all these layouts.  Also used my Lucky 8 paper puncher to create the dollies.     Love making these flowers with my Spellbinder dies.   Hand cut the berry stem and frame. Love the weaving at the top.     I used K & Co frame, hand cut the flowers and distressed the white with brown ink. I must tell you about this "Giant Beauty" Christmas Tree. For a few years, I have been wanting to see this tree. I was so excited to finally see it and it was spectacular! I fo...

Hat Ladies

Happy New Years everyone! I hope 2013 turns out to be a great year for all of us!!! Well, with all my new crafts I am trying here are a few pictures I drew a few months ago. I wanted to stretch my talents by trying to add hats to those lady faces. It was a fun challenge and I like how they turned out. I still can't believe I am drawing! Amazing!   Now I present to you... HAT LADIES! Which one is your favorite? Click on them for a closer look. Enjoy!

My Other Crafts

Happy Holidays! I hope you all have had a good one. I wanted to share some of the other crafts I have been working on over the last few months. When I lost my card mojo for a while I wanted to try some other crafts. First, my crocheting project. I vaguely remember crocheting years ago. Maybe it was in high school Home Ec.  So, I got some yarn and watched a how-to video on YouTube and went to work. Still working on it and it looks like a long scarf. Next time I want to try to make a flower or something like that. Next, I tried some jewelry making. I remember as a kid making some earrings with some bobby pins and hair beads. But this time I used some beads from a kit I bought some years ago. I am not crazy about the colors but since this was for practice and fun it was OK. The turquoise circles and silver are from Michael's. Also, I have tried my hand at baking a few cakes and still drawing, too. So next time I will share some of the drawings. Thanks for stop...

Christmas Cards 2012 Part 2

Well, Christmas is eight days away. Can you believe it? So, I have been busy and made more Christmas cards for our family and friends. Then, I was very excited that most of them were mailed and delivered last weekend. Yeah! All of these cards were made with Anna Griffin's Christmas collection. I loved using those Petaloo flowers and the heat embossing was fun! Click on each picture for a closer look. I like the vintage tags and pp with the bows. Loved heat embossing these with white glitter powder. Also, nice to create some simpler cards on the left & right. So pretty with this holly paper. Will post a few more this week. Thanks for stopping by! Have a nice day.

Christmas Cards 2012

Happy Holidays to you all! I have been away for so long and missed posting here on my sweet blog. I took a break from my greeting card business over the past few months and hope to get back to it early 2013. Although I have taken some time away from my cards, I have still been crafty. I played around with jewelry making, baking, drawing and even teaching myself to crochet. This has been fun learning new things. I think that is what I needed to recharge my creative battery. Finally, the mojo for my Christmas cards hit me this week and I finished some I started months ago and even made some new ones. I am looking forward to sending these to some very special family and friends. I used Anna Griffin's patterned paper I brought from HSN. Then I added some Petaloo flowers, Recollection leaves and a cream colored strip with the stamped sentiment and Martha Stewart punch for the edges. Here are some of the ones I have finished. It is hard to see but I embossed ...
