Tissue Paper Flowers

I have seen so many people making their own flowers. I tried a few here and there but they were ok. But now that I have my Cuttlebug, I tried some with tissue paper and I finally hit the jackpot. I love the way they turned out. They look like Carnation flowers.  Here is how I did it.

1. I used Nestabilities dies Big Scalloped Circles SM

2. Then I cut the tissue paper in multiple layers and sizes.

3. Added a brad to hold the two sizes of layers together.

4. Then fold up the layers upward and smush together.

5. Finally, pull the layers back layer by layer and shape.

Plus you can color them with mists and even paint. That was the fun part! So here are some of them.

Here is one I made with newspaper and blue watercolor paint.

Well, I hope this inspired you to try it. Have fun!

Stay True To God Goodies

Remember a short while ago I won a $25.00 online store credit to Stay True To God? Well here is all the cool stuff I ordered. I love everything but the Webster's Pages die cuts and vellums were a nice surprise. There was so many beautiful papers to play with. Also, I love the flowers! In person they looked even better. Thanks Tracy! Go check 'em out!

I Am A Winner!

Happy Friday! I was so excited to learn I won a $25 gift card to this online store called Stay True To God.  Tracy of STTG sent me an email telling me that three winners were selected I was one of them.  That day had been a tough day for me and to get an email like that just lifted my spirits so much.  I have entered different giveaways occassioanlly but I didn't even remember entering this one!  So I was really surprised. I felt like God arranged that surprise for me to brighten up my day.

She does a monthly giveaway. If you go to her website you can see more about it.

So, I had a ball shopping and trying to figure out what to get. She has got some nice stuff and some new things just came in, too.  So, I placed my order this week and already my goodies are in the mail. Can't wait to see this fun package.

Well, that is all for now but when you have time, go check out http://www.staytruetogod.com/.  What a name!
