The Art Continues

It is almost September and I hope you all have enjoyed your Summer. I have and looking forward to enjoying the Labor Day weekend too. I want to share more pictures of some of the art journaling and drawing I have done recently. Hope you have enjoyed this journey with me. Gift of Oneself  Love the movement of her hair and earrings! I wish you could see the golden paint I added. It shimmers! And that pink hair ROCKS! Love this pastel, artsy, messy and fun pages. Thanks for visiting and have a fantastic weekend!

Here is  My First Post Over the years, I have shared so many of my special moments and creations with you. I loved it all especially sharing the "birth" of our business K. Simone Designs and all the adventures we had. I have enjoyed reading all your comments, too. They have encouraged me so much. Thanks all! Hope you have enjoyed "Inspired Me" and I look forward to sharing more with you in the coming year. clipart from: www.rifugioscalorbi.it

Thankful

Hello all! Hope your day is going well. Today, I have another art journal page to share.  This art journaling has been so inspirational for me and I am THANKFUL for this gift. Here is another "Fly Girl." I love how she is letting the wind carry her and the butterflies nurturing her. Take a look and hope it inspires you the way it has me. Love the motion of the hair. Love those eyelashes! Oh and the butterflies turned out so pretty! Here is more of the magic dust from the butterflies. The white I added looks likes clouds. Thanks for visiting and have a terrific day!

Fly Girl

Happy Thursday! I hope you are enjoying your day. As many of you know, I started mixed media art journaling this Summer and I am so HOOKED! I am still so amazed at how much I am loving this. Just a year ago, I started teaching myself to draw and now I am exploring this free-style art journaling. Susan aka SARK author of Succulent Wild Woman said, "You can express parts of yourself in painting that come from nowhere else. There is an interior part of you that has no words and dreams in color." I totally believe this and seeing it before my eyes. So, here I am having a great adventure learning new techniques, playing around with colors, journaling, shopping and just having fun. Since I started I have loved being messy and unstructured in my art. But yesterday, I wanted to draw a face. I have been practicing drawing lately and wanted to incorporate it into my journal. So, I was so overjoyed at how this turned out and couldn't wait to share with you all! Take a look!

Summer Cards

Happy August! I hope you are enjoying this month. Although I have been having fun art journaling and drawing, I have made a few cards, too. I just love the happy and bright colors and love that they will make the receivers smile.   Take a look!       Loved using this My Mind's Eye pp and the velvet white flower from Petaloo.   A family friend got married and here is one of the cards I made as a gift to them. I loved using their wedding colors, too. So Pretty!   I used Prima flower paper and some pearlized blue paper as an accent. The flower is Petaloo and the jewels are Zva. Finally, I made this "Mini Album Card" for my mother-in-laws birthday.  It is full of pages of pictures and warm written thoughts of love.  I had some leftover flowers from my Anna Griffin card kit and loved using them. Here are a few of the pages. The flower is from Anna Griffin. It is dimensional and lovely. The patterned paper is from Michael's.
