My Card Won at Paper Craft Magazine

Just found out last night that my card won the May card challenge at Paper Crafts Magazine! It was one of three winners. This is the first card contest I have ever entered and won. So I was going crazy when I heard about this. What a honor! I found out about the contest and at the last minute decided to enter. Of course I forgot about it. But last night when I was checking my blog, one of my readers told me about it. I was so excited.  What a way to end my birthday weekend. Awesome! Thank you Paper Craft Magazine! Come see the post about it. Paper Crafts Blog  Mine it the first one under KellyR. Thanks for looking!

Flower Class Updates

I just love my floral arrangement class. I wasn't sure if I would make it to class last night but so glad I did. We made an arrangement in a square glass vase with purple gel marbles. Those were very nice. That is what is so fun about this class. Each week we are doing something different and different techniques. Here are some pics of what I did yesterday. Here are some I did over the last few classes. I love the sunflowers! This arrangement had a little bird with a nest and clay pot at the bottom. So cute! Here is an alter arrangement I made. This one was so large and tricky to get in the car and drive home. :) But it was a good experience to learn how to make something this large. Thanks for looking!

Floral Arrangment Class

As I am exploring my more of my creative side I wanted to try my hand at floral arrangements. In my city, the adult school has all sorts of fun classes and I was so excited to sign up for this one. I love flowers and couldn't wait to learn some ways to arrange them. So here are the first two I made. So every Wednesday evening I am a very happy woman! From class # 1 We used lots of orchids, lilies, roses and other beautiful flowers. The base is a black wok. Very neat! From class # 2 Loved using the brown basket on this one. Loved using the purples and pinks. This tulip is so pretty. Love this arrangement.

New Card Challenge Is Up

Happy May! Earlier, I posted my new card challenge at The Moments.  Here is the link   Card Challenge at the Moments This months assignment is to create a card with a picture on it. As a photographer's daughter, I was surrounded my pictures. So you can image all the pics I have! Geez! Also there are lots of new scrapbook challenges there, too. We have some talented designers there. Well, here are my samples I made. I couldn't decide on which one to use so I am using them both. Plus, my mom will love receiving two cards. Used Webster's Pages vellum on cs, green stamped sentiment, pearls, yellow tulle and paper flower. I love how the pic looked behind the vellum.  Great idea to soften the pic. Used Webster's Pages die cut cs on black cs, Prima flower, sheer leaves, Recollections rhinestone frame and black glittered letters. Come join the fun at Scrappin the Moments. Hope to see you there!
