My Other Crafts

Happy Holidays! I hope you all have had a good one. I wanted to share some of the other crafts I have been working on over the last few months. When I lost my card mojo for a while I wanted to try some other crafts. First, my crocheting project. I vaguely remember crocheting years ago. Maybe it was in high school Home Ec.  So, I got some yarn and watched a how-to video on YouTube and went to work. Still working on it and it looks like a long scarf. Next time I want to try to make a flower or something like that. Next, I tried some jewelry making. I remember as a kid making some earrings with some bobby pins and hair beads. But this time I used some beads from a kit I bought some years ago. I am not crazy about the colors but since this was for practice and fun it was OK. The turquoise circles and silver are from Michael's. Also, I have tried my hand at baking a few cakes and still drawing, too. So next time I will share some of the drawings. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Cards 2012 Part 2

Well, Christmas is eight days away. Can you believe it? So, I have been busy and made more Christmas cards for our family and friends. Then, I was very excited that most of them were mailed and delivered last weekend. Yeah! All of these cards were made with Anna Griffin's Christmas collection. I loved using those Petaloo flowers and the heat embossing was fun! Click on each picture for a closer look. I like the vintage tags and pp with the bows. Loved heat embossing these with white glitter powder. Also, nice to create some simpler cards on the left & right. So pretty with this holly paper. Will post a few more this week. Thanks for stopping by! Have a nice day.

Christmas Cards 2012

Happy Holidays to you all! I have been away for so long and missed posting here on my sweet blog. I took a break from my greeting card business over the past few months and hope to get back to it early 2013. Although I have taken some time away from my cards, I have still been crafty. I played around with jewelry making, baking, drawing and even teaching myself to crochet. This has been fun learning new things. I think that is what I needed to recharge my creative battery. Finally, the mojo for my Christmas cards hit me this week and I finished some I started months ago and even made some new ones. I am looking forward to sending these to some very special family and friends. I used Anna Griffin's patterned paper I brought from HSN. Then I added some Petaloo flowers, Recollection leaves and a cream colored strip with the stamped sentiment and Martha Stewart punch for the edges. Here are some of the ones I have finished. It is hard to see but I embossed
