Highlights from My 1st Art Show Video

So many of you have stopped by and seen my art show video. If you haven't click here.   Kelly's Art Show Glad you all liked it. One person said she felt so relaxed watching it she is going to use it as a stress buster! LOL! I wanted to highlight a few of my favorites from the video. First, the drawing of my mother-in-law turned out so great. This was from her wedding picture and she looked so beautiful. I can't wait to make a copy and take it to her. My drawing The original Another picture from the video I really loved was my rainbow girl. I was inspired my another artist who did a girl with rainbow colored hair. After seeing that I just had to try it. Here are some detail about her. I loved using book pages as apart of the background. Also, since the book was inspirational if adds strength to her. I liked using some old rub-on words like dreams, friend, true. Also it was fun sprinkling white paint around. I used a stencil to create the butter

Scrapbook Heaven Day 3

It's Day 3 of my scrapping adventures. I really did have a fun time using lots of my stash and hope you all have enjoyed seeing my layouts. Well, today I have two fun pages to share. First, is a layout about DONUTS! It was so funny, I got a catalog in the mail and it had these cute donuts all over the cover. I mentioned it to my hubby how I wanted some. Then the next morning when I got up there they were!!!! Yes, I am so spoiled! LOL! I cut the donuts off of the catalog and used them as a centerpiece. Yes, they were yummy!!! I liked adding my printed journaling too. Finally, we went to an event at Macy's in celebration of Black History Month and fashion. So this layout is dedicated to that night. I really enjoyed listening to the legendary fashion model Beverly Johnson ( red dress) and former editor of Essence magazine and fashion expert Constance White ( in black pants). I made the background. I cut out images from magazines, added a sheet of

Scrapbook Heaven Day 2

Welcome to my Day 2! Today I will be sharing a few layouts I made in celebration of my 8th wedding anniversary.  This year we had a lunch date at our beautiful golf course. These pages were made with lots and lots of supplies I have had FOREVER and it felt so good to use them. On this "True Love" layout, I loved hand cutting the flowers and leaves and distressing the paper up top. Also the cute Jenni Bowlin butterflies were a fun addition.   Next this layout captured the peaceful scenery at the golf course. We just loved eating our lunch in there wonderful club house while looking at these amazing views.   I hide the journaling card in the picture. Finally, I made this layout to house all the little signs and notes my hubby and I exchanged for our day. It was so fun making this background with some old glitter paper, glitter and glue. Then added this envelope. On top is one of the signs I received. So sweet! Thanks for looking and to

Scrapbook Heaven Day 1

Happy March everyone! I hope you all are ready for Spring because it is almost here. I just love the Spring, my favorite season. Over the past few weeks I have been in scrapbook heaven. I have had a ball creating pages from my stash. So over the next three days, I will be sharing some of the layouts with you. Here goes Day 1 . For Valentines Day I made this double pager layout. The paper and journaling tags are from an old Teresa Collins kit I have had for a while. I hand cut the hearts and ink up there edges in black. Also, loved the criss cross black stitching lines on this red paper. On this "Notes" layout I used a large white envelope as the center piece. My husband and I shared several love letters and notes with each other so I put them in the envelope to preserve them. Such a fun idea.       The "Day 14" layout includes a hand heart picture I found online along with lots of hearts and of course my journaling.
