Birthday Cards

Well, Summer is here and hope yours is going well so far. I got an order from my sweet mother-in-law for some birthday cards. She wanted some for women and men. Of course the male cards are always a challenge for me but a good one. All the cards are 6x6 in size and I used Prima patterned paper, glitter cardstock, purple bling and green statin ribbon for the ladies cards. Also, I used my Spellbinders die to make the sentiment tags. For the male cards, I used Simple Stories patterned paper. I love the way they turned out and hope she will love sending them to her loved ones. Thanks Mom!!!! Take a look. Loved using the purple glitter paper with these cards. Adds an extra sparkle! Love that the off white paper has a faded map on it. Cool! Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Yellow Lace Paper Cards

Happy Wednesday! Hope June has been good to you so far. I have enjoying making more cards using Crate Paper's "Pretty Party" collection. The yellow lace paper is so vintage and the florals are so beautiful. I scrap lifted this idea from a fabulous layout created by a fellow Two Pea member. Check her page out. Two Peas Gallery Here are a few 6x6 size cards I made. I hand cut the flowers and inked the edges. They came out so pretty and feminine. I sent a few to my aunts-in-laws. I am sure these cards brighten up their day. Take a look! Love the roses! This pink ink is a little too light but looks pretty in person. Hope you enjoyed looking at these pretty cards. They sure make me feel happy and hope you felt the same. Have a great day!

Lazy Summer Note Card Collection

Happy June everyone! I hope your Summer has started off great. Today I am sharing some cute new note cards from my "Lazy Summer" collection. After making tons of 6x6 cards it is a great change to make these smaller cards. As mentioned on another blog post, I used Crate Paper's "Pretty Party" patterned paper for some of these cards. The patterns feel like a warm Summer day. I would like to give credit to one of the Two Peas members for the hand cut flower and pearl idea. Here is her page that inspired the following cards. Beautiful! rophilippsen layout Here is the first group of cards I made using this fun idea. I also distressed the edges of the flowers and larger piece of paper with brown ink. Gave it a nice vintage feel. Now, here are some other cards I made using ribbon. I just love these floral patterns papers, too. Used Echo Park patterned paper of these. Can't remember if the gingham is EP, too. I love this soft yellow ribbon.
