YouTube Video: Watercolor Portrait Art Journal Page

One of my favorite things to do this year is watercolor portrait art journaling. I started last Summer out of the blue and found it to be relaxing and fun. I haven't had a lot of experience with watercolors so it has been a joy exploring and experimenting with this medium. Here is one of my latest pages and I hope you all enjoying watching me create it in this YouTube video. Also, for more art journaling resources check out this page on my Inspired Me 411 Arts & Crafts Resource Page .  In this video, you will see how I painted her features, hair, her pink glitter top, the background and the writing all set to relaxing jazz music. Let the chill vibes soothe you. While I was painting, I was thinking about professional and personal dreams and that is what I decided to journal.  Click Here SUBSCRIBE & LIKE I hope this "dream" girl inspires you to dream today. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.

NEW Art Video- "Rejoice, girl!" Large Painting

So proud and happy to share one of my latest paintings called "Rejoice, girl!"  She is 24 x 48 inches tall and made with acrylic paints. I finished her last Summer 2025 and I loved the fashion illustration style I used with her elongated body.  In this video, you will see the process of how she was made from start to finish. Also, enjoy the soothing music designed to fill you with joy and inspiration as you watch this painting unfold.  Take a look at the video and feel free to subscribe and share it with a friend.   Video Link What is "Rejoice, girl!" about? These common words may seen flimsy when faced with life's challenges but they are powerful medicine and anchors to sustain us through life's ups and downs. Rejoicing acknowledges the problem and decides to rejoice. T...

NEW VIDEO: Watercolor Portrait Tutorial

I love trying new things in art. Last Summer, I started playing around with watercolor portraits in an art journaling style. I found it to be so soothing and relaxing.  The more faces I painted, the better they got. Normally, I paint with acrylic paints so trying watercolors was a challenge at first. But as I gave myself permission to just experiment and play it felt as rewarding as my acrylic paintings. So, here is a video tutorial sharing my process. You will see how to create a nice skin tone along with the hair, clothes and background. I hope you are inspired to give it a try or just enjoy watching me paint.  Video Link   What is art journaling? It is a journal where you use paints, pens, pencils, inks, stamps, markers and/or any art supply to express you feelings and thoughts of the day with little or no writing. If you are new to art journaling, here are some resources I have collected over the years that might be helpful.  Check out my arts and crafts res...
