Inspired Me

Did you watch the red carpet last night for the Emmy's? I love watching these award show red carpets more than the show itself.  I just saw the pictures online. One the sites I looked at was radaronline.com. These pictures are from there. First, I liked the navy blue one.  The dress had lots of drama and she wore it well. The purple one was interesting.  Still trying to decide if I like it. Maybe it would have been better with the layers on the bottom but not both.  I really love the color and the idea. My mom just loves all the cards I have given her since I have started. She had them all up on her kitchen counter for a few years now. So you can imagine the cards were taking over that space. She had a nice idea to put them in a photo album. We posted each card to a page with a nice floral background. So of course, I had to decorate the front of it. . I really love how it turned out. I used some Prima flowers and leaves. The pearl and crystal swirls are from Recollections and maybe Prima. (Forgot?) The butterflies she got from Michael's floral section. Beautiful! I had a title on it but she preferred it on the inside page.

Last month, I won a prize package from Webster's Pages. I was expecting to receive it in September but it came yesterday. I was so surprised to see all the great items I got. Check it out! This is from there new collection called "Hollywood Vogue." Just love it! I got two of each of the patterned papers, a diecut paper and those colorful Sparklers. I am so happy to start this blog. I have so much creativity to share with you. I do feel like the butterflies you see and will continue to see. I am emerging and starting to fly with my arts and as a woman. Also, I am calling this blog "Inspired Me" because I feel inspired and as a result it flows into my cards and painting. I really hope that you will feel a little of what I feel when I am creating. So feel free to leave your comments here. I know we will share lots of ideas and joys.
