My Largest Card & Other Card Creations

Happy Sunday! Hope your July has been a good one so far. I have made several cards and wanted to share a few with you. First, one of our customers wanted us to make a card for her pastor's wife. The pastor's wife happens to be my mother-in-law and of course I was so honored to make something to celebrate her birthday.

This card was the largest card I've made so far. (The size is 6x10 inches) It was a fun challenge and love how it turned out. Plus Ron did a great job writing something special for the inside. I know this going to bring great joy to a woman that deserves this honor! Take a look.
I used Prima pp on this white cardstock, Jolee's white fabric flower with jewels, bling swirls from Zva, rhinestone strip from David Tutera Collection and green leaves from Recollections.

This lavendar lace paper in so pretty with the silver and white flower.

I added the lace paper from the front to the inside right. Then on the left I added her picture as a backgound to Ron's writings. Looked amazing in person. WOW!

I had another card order for some female and male birthday cards. Here is a quick look at how they turned out.

I used My Mind's Eye patterned paper. Love how it looks like a wooden fence. Looks so masculine.

I know our customer will love using these cards to celebrate her special loved ones.

Finally, here is a special congratulations card I made for a sweet cousin's engagement. I hope this card bring them more excitment and joy as they prepare for their wedding.

Used purple cardstock, Prima floral pp on the inside, Zva purple bling, Recollections flowers and leaves and this cute flag sentiment.

Hope you enjoyed looking at all these creations. Take care and have a lovely day!

  11. Kelly, your mother-in-law's card is simply beautiful. Purple is definitely a favorite of mind--being lace paper puts it over the top. I love how you used her image as a watermark/background. The other cards were wonderful as well.

Relaunch of Our Business

Kelly & Ron Roberts Today, Ron and I are announcing the relaunch of our K. Simone Designs business. For those of you that are new to our work and site, click   ABOUT US   for more information.   In short, we started our business selling my handmade greeting cards in 2011. We sold and donated lots of cards and enjoyed bringing smiles to our customer's faces. In 2019, we took a long break. Since then, art has become my main interest and I have been drawing, painting and improving my skills. Art has been a wonderful outlet and joy for me and I have loved encouraging others with these creations.  So now K. Simone Designs will focus on our Inspired Art business. Our greeting cards are on hold for now but they are still apart of our brand. Also, I will continue to create YouTube papercrafting videos and add more resources to my arts and crafts directory. Our goal with all these creative products is to inspire others with love, hope, joy and peace. Here are so...

Our Romantic Anniversary Dinner

Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been great.  Today I wanted  to share some of our wedding anniversary pictures with you.  Last Sunday, my hubby arranged for us to have a romantic dinner at the very place where we had our wedding reception.  I was so excited when I found out that they set up a table for us to have the whole banquet room to ourselves.  How great was that??? The restaurant is right on the bay and has the most spectacular  views.  So when we arrived they had a table set up for us right by the windows so we could get an even better view.  They had the rest of the room set up for an event but I still could remember how it looked the night of our wedding with the lights and the dance floor.  Plus the left side of the room is nothing but windows so you can see more of this secluded bay. So as we dined we watched the sunset and it was so fabulous.  Even at night all the lights from the surroundin...

Happy Hearts

Today I will be sharing one a several painting I recently finished. This one is one of my favorites. I wanted to try two faces and just love how they turned out. It was fun going crazy with the multi-colored background. The hearts were made using my new favorite thing to make from toilet paper rolls- STAMPS.  I saw them on Julie Balzer's blog. Toilet Paper Tube Stamps  Then I used my fingers to paint the inside of the hearts. So neat! Take a look and I hope you feel the love and joy in this piece. Aren't the afro's fabulous!!! LOL! They were my first try and look pretty darn good. The little girls afro puff is so cute and reminds me of the ones I had as a child.   I love the hearts on their clothes. I used my stencil to make the design then painted around just to show the insides. Hope you enjoyed and come back this week to see some other paintings. Have a good one!
