More Portrait Drawings

Happy Friday! Well, this week among other things I have been drawing up a storm. I am still so surprised how fun and relaxing this has been for me. So here are a few I did this week

I have loved thinking of different hair styles and colors as well as skin tones and make-up.  When I start sketching, I have no idea how they will turn out. So that is apart of the fun too. They all have their own unique personality and style.

Also, I have had fun creating the earrings. Maybe there will be a K Simone Designs jewelry line one day!!!!!

Love the blue I added to her hair. Also love the earrings! I would wear those.

This was my 1st tilted face. Love her hair and hair color!

Love her hair color and style as well as the earrings. Her eyes were too big but that's ok. Still learning!

    Kelly, your drawings are terrific. Each one seems to habe a personality of her own. The hair, eyes, and earrings are wonderful. There's something about each one that I like; however, if I had to select one it would be the last one. You go girl!

    Look at you go!! Great job and I can tell you're having so much fun with this. I love them all and I can just picture naming them!! My favorite (and I don't know why) is the last one. Maybe because she has a little wave in her hair and she has such a sincere smile!

    I think I like the 3rd and 4th ones the best.

My Birthday Blog Party

Welcome to my Birthday Blog Party! I am starting my celebration early to fully enjoy my day. My actual birthday is May 29th but why not start early right? :) When I think of birthdays past, they were always such exciting times for me. Many of my birthdays were celebrated with fun parties from my childhood to my young adult years. I loved all of those special parties and to this day, I still love it. Maybe this is where my love for event planning all started. At my 3rd birthday, my parents gave me a big one. I don't really remember but the pictures are so cool. I had lots of kids there, a clown, a little merry-go-round ride and lots of games. I had a white little outfit on and was looking so cute for a Spring party. Boy, I looked so happy! Happy Hearts

Today I will be sharing one a several painting I recently finished. This one is one of my favorites. I wanted to try two faces and just love how they turned out. It was fun going crazy with the multi-colored background. The hearts were made using my new favorite thing to make from toilet paper rolls- STAMPS.  I saw them on Julie Balzer's blog. Toilet Paper Tube Stamps  Then I used my fingers to paint the inside of the hearts. So neat! Take a look and I hope you feel the love and joy in this piece. Aren't the afro's fabulous!!! LOL! They were my first try and look pretty darn good. The little girls afro puff is so cute and reminds me of the ones I had as a child.   I love the hearts on their clothes. I used my stencil to make the design then painted around just to show the insides. Hope you enjoyed and come back this week to see some other paintings. Have a good one!
