New Art for Living Room

Hey y'all I hope you are all having a nice Summer. I have been painting more florals and here is one I did for my living area. I have been redecorating this room and wanted to create some art that had my colors of coral, aqua, cream and gold.

I was doing a practice picture on large water color paper. Then, I was going to redo it on a 16x20 canvas. But the picture turned out so good, I decided to go with the practice one.

Happy 1 Year Blog Anniversary

Happy Birthday "Inspired Me" ! Yes, today my blog is one year's old. I remember a year ago I was so excited to start. I wasn't sure what journey this would take me on but now I can say it has been a fantastic so far. Here is the link to my very first post. Finally My First Entry I have met so many new people. My Birthday Blog Party

Welcome to my Birthday Blog Party! I am starting my celebration early to fully enjoy my day. My actual birthday is May 29th but why not start early right? :) When I think of birthdays past, they were always such exciting times for me. Many of my birthdays were celebrated with fun parties from my childhood to my young adult years. I loved all of those special parties and to this day, I still love it. Maybe this is where my love for event planning all started. At my 3rd birthday, my parents gave me a big one. I don't really remember but the pictures are so cool. I had lots of kids there, a clown, a little merry-go-round ride and lots of games. I had a white little outfit on and was looking so cute for a Spring party. Boy, I looked so happy! Vintage Layout

I wanted to share this layout with you all. I recently submitted a design team application and I had to make a layout. I haven't made a layout in years so it was a nice challenge. I enjoyed making the first one so much I wanted to try another one. This one is dedicated to my sweet grandmother, Thelma Cobbs. This was her college picture back in the 1930's. I just love this picture of her, the sepia tone color and the style is so classic. Her style has influenced my artistic approach. I loved all her lace handkerchiefs, hats, gloves, purses and jewel. So I have taken a lot of her traditional, glamours style and use it on my cards and now layouts. I know she would be so proud to see her fashion sense in my work. Maybe it is my way of keeping her alive and close to me. Love and miss you Nana!
