My Birthday in Pink Layouts

Hello all! Today, I am posting pictures of two scrapbook pages. They are featuring my birthday. I used Kaisercraft patterned papers along with some extra supplies I had for a while. Take a look. Scrapbooking these special birthday pages was a joy and hope you enjoyed them too. Have a good day!

Dia De Los Muertos Layout

Here is a layout about an event my husband and I went to a few years ago. It is called Dia De Los Muertos Art Festival. It is a big event that our Latino friends celebrate during the Halloween time. It is a day to remember lost loved ones and honor them These huge, skeleton ladies were all around and I had to photograph them. I started this layout over a year ago and finally finished it. All my supplies were scraps I had for a while. Get it girl!

Trees & Things Layout

Happy Wednesday! Here is a new scrapbook layout I finished this week. I hadn't scrapbooked in ages so it was fun getting back into it. The tree arboretum we went to was amazing and the pond was so beautiful. There was so many special plants, trees and shrubbery everywhere,  too much too see. Enjoy! Loved hiding the journaling in the grass.

INSPIRED SHE Edition: Lori Greiner Magazine

Hello friends! In today's edition of "Inspired She," I will share about this new magazine I discovered. A few weeks ago, my husband and I were at Barnes and Noble bookstore. I was just browsing around and saw this magazine, Living Inspired by Lori Greiner. It was the premiere issue. Lori is an inventor, entrepreneur and television personality seen on "Shark Tank" and QVC. I have always loved magazines and this one grabbed my attention. It features some of my favs topics like fashion, food, make-up, travel, fitness and lots of inspiration for life. The articles on balancing self-care and work life are very good. Also, for those of us who aspire to become entrepreneurs, it gives great suggestions on how to get your dreams off the ground. One of my favorite parts was "Don't Give Up" on page 48. This article features mini bios of famous figures and how they were rejected or failed but still achieved great success. So today, I celebrate...

INSPIRED SHE Edition: Women's Expo

K. Simone Designs is a business my husband and I started years ago. Since then, we have seen our highs, lows and even renewed times. It's been a challenge but for the first time in a while,  I feel more focused on breathing life into my creative endeavors.  So, when I heard about this women's expo, I just knew this would be good inspiration for me and it was. Recently, my husband and I attended the Ultimate Women's Expo in Anaheim, California. This was our first time and it was awesome. The Women's Expo host several of these events around the country every year. When I walked into the event, the dj was pumping the music and the ladies were radiating happy, fun vibes.  There were numerous vendors selling everything from make-up and hair tools to clothes and jewelry to homeopathic health products. Many women (and a few men) enjoyed the arts and crafts, painting activities, massages, cupcake decorating and even exercise areas. I mi...

NEW, First Time Series: INSPIRED SHE

Today, I will be kicking off my first ever blog series called, "Inspired She."  It will feature inspirational stories to encourage us creative women to keep living our dreams. I am excited after months of thinking about this idea to finally be getting it going. Hooray! Do you feel stuck or feel like you lost your mojo? I definitely feel like this at times. Finding inspiration helps to recharge my creative batteries and gives me a boost when I feel empty. My wish is that these stories and words of hope will motivate and invigorate us during our productive moments and even our down times. (by the way, down times are ok and even good.) Keep an eye out for the series.  Let's inspire each other. P.S. I created this art in the logo a few years ago during one of my inspired times and thought she would be perfect for "Inspired She." :)
