Celebrate Your Brave- NEW YouTube Video

2020 has been a very stressful year for all of us. Our families have faced fears and instability like never before. But did you know you are brave? Do you celebrate the courageous things you do? Well, meet "Hello Brave" in my new YouTube video series "Story Time With...". She was created in 2018 and has a message of recognizing and celebrating your acts of bravery large and small.

Our lives are full of opportunities to exhibit bravery and I created this art to encourage me to celebrate the daily hard things I do and not take it for granted. Join me in celebrating your brave. Our Romantic Anniversary Dinner

Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been great. Today I wanted to share some of our wedding anniversary pictures with you. Last Sunday, my hubby arranged for us to have a romantic dinner at the very place where we had our wedding reception. I was so excited when I found out that they set up a table for us to have the whole banquet room to ourselves. How great was that??? The restaurant is right on the bay and has the most spectacular views. So when we arrived they had a table set up for us right by the windows so we could get an even better view. They had the rest of the room set up for an event but I still could remember how it looked the night of our wedding with the lights and the dance floor. Plus the left side of the room is nothing but windows so you can see more of this secluded bay. So as we dined we watched the sunset and it was so fabulous. Happy Hearts

Today I will be sharing one a several painting I recently finished. This one is one of my favorites. I wanted to try two faces and just love how they turned out. It was fun going crazy with the multi-colored background. The hearts were made using my new favorite thing to make from toilet paper rolls- STAMPS. I saw them on Julie Balzer's blog. Toilet Paper Tube Stamps Then I used my fingers to paint the inside of the hearts. So neat! Take a look and I hope you feel the love and joy in this piece. Aren't the afro's fabulous!!! LOL! They were my first try and look pretty darn good. The little girls afro puff is so cute and reminds me of the ones I had as a child. I love the hearts on their clothes. Cupcakes Anyone?

Happy Fall! Last Summer I took a cupcake decorating class at Michael's and I loved it. It was really great to learn the basics. This was all new to me and I was excited to try it out. All Summer I wanted to make more but the weather got too hot to bake so I had to wait. Finally we had a break with some cooler temps and I was able to get back to these yummy treats. I made two of my favorite colors: happy sunny yellow and hot pink. Oh, and they tasted good too. Have you tried cupcake or cake decorating before? Isn't it like art? Maybe that is why I love it.
