My TV Debut- The Kelly Clarkson Show Audience

Today, I was on TV!!! I was apart of The Kelly Clarkson Show's virtual audience that aired on NBC at 2:00 PM PST! I have been checking every week since April to see when my episode would air and it finally came on. The guests included Sherri Shepard, Rob Riggle and Charles Melton.

I wore my hot pink dress and was excited that I was on the second row instead of the back. Here is a video clip of the show. Look for me on the left side of the screen.

How did this all come about? In April, I signed up to be apart of the show's audience. I had never done this before and thought it would be a fun activity while we were still house bound.

1iota.com is where I summitted my request for tickets and they had several shows looking for audience members. I picked The Kelly Clarkson Show and within a day I was accepted for the April 29, 2021 date.

On the morning of the show, I was so excited and a little nervous! The taping started at 10:30 AM but I had to check in at 9:30AM. The staff was very nice and guided me through all the set up and technical stuff. Then, when it was time to record they had a fun hype guy who played games with us and guided us through the schedule. Boy, I haven't clapped that much in like FOREVER! LOL! It was so cool during the taping to see the behind the scenes, too.

In between each segment and guest spot, we could take a break. Also, I won an Amazon gift card from one of the games!

Kelly also interviewed a 90 plus year old artist and a family from the CCAwesome Foundation nonprofit for kids and dedicated to the death of their son. She spoke with the founders of Girl Trek, a nonprofit to get Black women walking. I really liked how Kelly gave the community heroes just as much love as she did the celebrities! She is a class act!

The whole event went until about 1:30 PM. Boy, I was tired when we got through but it was a good tired. LOL! I don't know if they will have virtual audiences any more but if they do, I will definitely do this again!

Relaunch of Our Business

Kelly & Ron Roberts Today, Ron and I are announcing the relaunch of our K. Simone Designs business. For those of you that are new to our work and site, click   ABOUT US   for more information.   In short, we started our business selling my handmade greeting cards in 2011. We sold and donated lots of cards and enjoyed bringing smiles to our customer's faces. In 2019, we took a long break. Since then, art has become my main interest and I have been drawing, painting and improving my skills. Art has been a wonderful outlet and joy for me and I have loved encouraging others with these creations.  So now K. Simone Designs will focus on our Inspired Art business. Our greeting cards are on hold for now but they are still apart of our brand. Also, I will continue to create YouTube papercrafting videos and add more resources to my arts and crafts directory. Our goal with all these creative products is to inspire others with love, hope, joy and peace. Here are so...

Our Romantic Anniversary Dinner

Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been great.  Today I wanted  to share some of our wedding anniversary pictures with you.  Last Sunday, my hubby arranged for us to have a romantic dinner at the very place where we had our wedding reception.  I was so excited when I found out that they set up a table for us to have the whole banquet room to ourselves.  How great was that??? The restaurant is right on the bay and has the most spectacular  views.  So when we arrived they had a table set up for us right by the windows so we could get an even better view.  They had the rest of the room set up for an event but I still could remember how it looked the night of our wedding with the lights and the dance floor.  Plus the left side of the room is nothing but windows so you can see more of this secluded bay. So as we dined we watched the sunset and it was so fabulous.  Even at night all the lights from the surroundin...

My Birthday Blog Party

Welcome to my Birthday Blog Party! I am starting my celebration early to fully enjoy my day. My actual birthday is May 29th but why not start early right? :) When I think of birthdays past, they were always such exciting times for me. Many of my birthdays were celebrated with fun parties from my childhood to my young adult years. I loved all of those special parties and to this day, I still love it. Maybe this is where my love for event planning all started. At my 3rd birthday, my parents gave me a big one. I don't really remember but the pictures are so cool. I had lots of kids there, a clown, a little merry-go-round ride and lots of games. I had a white little outfit on and was looking so cute for a Spring party. Boy, I looked so happy! Also, I was brave not to be afraid of the clown, too. My mom was holding me as I blew the candles out. Another year, I had my first slumber party. That was so fun! I invited several friends and ...
