Here are the categories:

  • Art School
  • Art Supplies
  • Artist Open Calls and Opportunities
  • Artist Courses
  • Artist Events
  • Marketing and Business
  • Online Art Retail
  • Organizations
  • Other Resources
  • Southern California Museums and Galleries
Also, here are five of some of my favorite sites from the lists.

  1. Stacy Bloomfield - She offers various paid and free art licensing, marketing and general art business courses. I took one of her free courses and it was excellent. She also helps you discover multiple streams of income as an artist.
  2. Artwork Archive - They offer multiple business services and resources for artists for a monthly fee. Also, they offer free online seminars that I have attended. Their services include inventory cataloging, online invoicing, income tracking and more.
  3. Las Laguna Gallery - I haven't submitted my work yet, but I do like that they have multiple open calls each year. Anyone who submits to one of their shows gets in the online event. Selected artist will be invited to their in-person show.
  4. Krista Irene Art- I recently discovered her YouTube channel and love her carefree style. She teaches how to loosen up in drawing and sketching using pens and markers. Her relaxed approach has inspired me.
  5. CaFE - This site has free national and international art open calls. Also, there are lots of interesting blog post in "CaFE Corner."

I will be adding more resources to this page and new blog posts. So make sure you SUBSCRIBE for all the updates.

Inspired Me 411 also features an "Art & Art Journaling" page which list artists and more resources that might be helpful to you. Click Here

Whether you are new or an experienced artists, I hope you will find this directory helpful for you and your business.

Our Romantic Anniversary Dinner

Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been great.  Today I wanted  to share some of our wedding anniversary pictures with you.  Last Sunday, my hubby arranged for us to have a romantic dinner at the very place where we had our wedding reception.  I was so excited when I found out that they set up a table for us to have the whole banquet room to ourselves.  How great was that??? The restaurant is right on the bay and has the most spectacular  views.  So when we arrived they had a table set up for us right by the windows so we could get an even better view.  They had the rest of the room set up for an event but I still could remember how it looked the night of our wedding with the lights and the dance floor.  Plus the left side of the room is nothing but windows so you can see more of this secluded bay. So as we dined we watched the sunset and it was so fabulous.  Even at night all the lights from the surroundin...

Happy Hearts

Today I will be sharing one a several painting I recently finished. This one is one of my favorites. I wanted to try two faces and just love how they turned out. It was fun going crazy with the multi-colored background. The hearts were made using my new favorite thing to make from toilet paper rolls- STAMPS.  I saw them on Julie Balzer's blog. Toilet Paper Tube Stamps  Then I used my fingers to paint the inside of the hearts. So neat! Take a look and I hope you feel the love and joy in this piece. Aren't the afro's fabulous!!! LOL! They were my first try and look pretty darn good. The little girls afro puff is so cute and reminds me of the ones I had as a child.   I love the hearts on their clothes. I used my stencil to make the design then painted around just to show the insides. Hope you enjoyed and come back this week to see some other paintings. Have a good one!

Cupcakes Anyone?

Happy Fall! Last Summer I took a cupcake decorating class at Michael's and I loved it. It was really great to learn the basics. This was all new to me and I was excited to try it out.  All Summer I wanted to make more but the weather got too hot to bake so I had to wait. Finally we had a break with some cooler temps and I was able to get back to these yummy treats.   I made two of my favorite colors: happy sunny yellow and hot pink. Oh, and they tasted good too.        Have you tried cupcake or cake decorating before? Isn't it like art? Maybe that is why I love it. Now I can't wait to make some more. Thanks for stopping by!
