2010 Christmas Memories

Can you believe Christmas is over? This year is going fast and I am so glad we were able to get off to a great start in getting our activities and traditions going early in December.  But between the rain and our colds we did have some fun leading up to Christmas day.  Then on Christmas day, Ron and I exchanged our gifts and watched that crazy Los Angeles Laker game.  We lost big time but we tried not to let it spoil our mood.



We spent time with my mom later that day. I couldn't wait to see what she thought of my Christmas card. She loved it! It did my heart good to see her anticipation and excitment over my work. Usually I mail my cards to the many family and friends so it was a special treat to see a response.  So exciting!


Then on Sunday, we visited my in-laws and had a wonderful time. They spoiled us with lots of love and gifts. My special card was a winner, too. They loved it. Feels good. Thanks mom and dad!

My Birthday Blog Party

Welcome to my Birthday Blog Party! I am starting my celebration early to fully enjoy my day. My actual birthday is May 29th but why not start early right? :) When I think of birthdays past, they were always such exciting times for me. Many of my birthdays were celebrated with fun parties from my childhood to my young adult years. I loved all of those special parties and to this day, I still love it. Maybe this is where my love for event planning all started. At my 3rd birthday, my parents gave me a big one. I don't really remember but the pictures are so cool. I had lots of kids there, a clown, a little merry-go-round ride and lots of games. I had a white little outfit on and was looking so cute for a Spring party. Boy, I looked so happy! Happy Hearts

Today I will be sharing one a several painting I recently finished. This one is one of my favorites. I wanted to try two faces and just love how they turned out. It was fun going crazy with the multi-colored background. The hearts were made using my new favorite thing to make from toilet paper rolls- STAMPS.  I saw them on Julie Balzer's blog. Toilet Paper Tube Stamps  Then I used my fingers to paint the inside of the hearts. So neat! Take a look and I hope you feel the love and joy in this piece. Aren't the afro's fabulous!!! LOL! They were my first try and look pretty darn good. The little girls afro puff is so cute and reminds me of the ones I had as a child.   I love the hearts on their clothes.
