NEW Cards In The Shop

We are so excited to share our NEW "Autumn Wishes" Collection. These cards embody the colors of the season with vintage inspired prints.  I really enjoyed using Cosmo Cricket's "Circa 1934" line. Not only are the patterns bold and beautiful but all the papers where named after legendary Hollywood stars from the 1930's.  I used Ginger, Gable and Bette.  Plus, I love old classic movies so it was a win for me.
Our "Autumn Wishes" Collection was inspired by my "Be" layout I did earlier this Summer. So I wanted to make some cards with a similar feel. Aww... just Be Kelly. :)

So on these cards, I did some neat things.  I hand cut many of the flowers and that was fun. I even used my circle cutter on a few to try a big circle in the middle with the patterned paper showing through. They came out nice. I may try that idea again!

So here are a few of them. But to see the full collection, CLICK HERE .

Used red cs, Cosmo Cricket pp, Jolee's red flower, Recollection green leaves, Zva Creative black gems and Cosmo tag with black inked stamped sentiment.

If you would like one of these beauties, just stop over to http://www.kellyron.etsy.com/.  We would love for one of these cards to put a big smile on your loved ones' face!

My Birthday Blog Party

Welcome to my Birthday Blog Party! I am starting my celebration early to fully enjoy my day. My actual birthday is May 29th but why not start early right? :) When I think of birthdays past, they were always such exciting times for me. Many of my birthdays were celebrated with fun parties from my childhood to my young adult years. I loved all of those special parties and to this day, I still love it. Maybe this is where my love for event planning all started. At my 3rd birthday, my parents gave me a big one. I don't really remember but the pictures are so cool. I had lots of kids there, a clown, a little merry-go-round ride and lots of games. I had a white little outfit on and was looking so cute for a Spring party. Boy, I looked so happy! Also, I was brave not to be afraid of the clown, too. My mom was holding me as I blew the candles out. Another year, I had my first slumber party. That was so fun! I invited several friends and ...

Vintage Layout

I wanted to share this layout with you all. I recently submitted a design team application and I had to make a layout. I haven't made a layout in years so it was a nice challenge. I enjoyed making the first one so much I wanted to try another one. This one is dedicated to my sweet grandmother, Thelma Cobbs. This was her college picture back in the 1930's. I just love this picture of her, the sepia tone color and the style is so classic.  Her style has influenced my artistic approach.  I loved all her lace handkerchiefs, hats, gloves, purses and jewel. So I have taken a lot of her traditional, glamours style and use it on my cards and now layouts.  I know she would be so proud to see her fashion sense in my work. Maybe it is my way of keeping her alive and close to me.  Love and miss you Nana! Supplies used are: Webster's Pages patterned paper, Scenic Route rub-on words, Prima flowers, leaves from Michael's, form adhesive on the lady images, cream ribbon and white...
