Winter White Bridal Cards

Happy Sunday! Hope all is well for you and your family. Recently, I was asked to make a bridal shower card. Yippee! I love weddings and creating for that special time of life. Plus, it was a nice break from all the Christmas cards I have been working on. :)

I loved using this special pearlized paper I got earlier this year. Then, I placed it on a cream colored pearlized card stock. Also, used the pretty vellum paper on the outside and inside. I wish you could see how beautiful that floral vellum is. The ribbon was so pretty with this. It was the icing on the cake. Love how it all turned out.

So, take a look!

Love adding the floral vellum layer with the cream paper. The pic was better.

Then, I added this extra card for the customer. I had started working on this card months ago and never put a sentiment on it. Just didn't know what to do. Then, as I was working on this other card, inspiration hit and this stamp was the perfect fit and style. I was so happy to finally complete this one.

Love the matching pearlized envelope to match.

Hope you enjoyed checking these cards out. Thanks! Have a good day!

My Birthday Blog Party

Welcome to my Birthday Blog Party! I am starting my celebration early to fully enjoy my day. My actual birthday is May 29th but why not start early right? :) When I think of birthdays past, they were always such exciting times for me. Many of my birthdays were celebrated with fun parties from my childhood to my young adult years. I loved all of those special parties and to this day, I still love it. Maybe this is where my love for event planning all started. At my 3rd birthday, my parents gave me a big one. I don't really remember but the pictures are so cool. I had lots of kids there, a clown, a little merry-go-round ride and lots of games. I had a white little outfit on and was looking so cute for a Spring party. Boy, I looked so happy! Also, I was brave not to be afraid of the clown, too. My mom was holding me as I blew the candles out. Another year, I had my first slumber party. That was so fun! I invited several friends and ...

Vintage Layout

I wanted to share this layout with you all. I recently submitted a design team application and I had to make a layout. I haven't made a layout in years so it was a nice challenge. I enjoyed making the first one so much I wanted to try another one. This one is dedicated to my sweet grandmother, Thelma Cobbs. This was her college picture back in the 1930's. I just love this picture of her, the sepia tone color and the style is so classic.  Her style has influenced my artistic approach.  I loved all her lace handkerchiefs, hats, gloves, purses and jewel. So I have taken a lot of her traditional, glamours style and use it on my cards and now layouts.  I know she would be so proud to see her fashion sense in my work. Maybe it is my way of keeping her alive and close to me.  Love and miss you Nana! Supplies used are: Webster's Pages patterned paper, Scenic Route rub-on words, Prima flowers, leaves from Michael's, form adhesive on the lady images, cream ribbon and white...
