Mother's Day Cards 2019

Every year, I make and sell for cards for Mother's Day. This time, I couldn't find the right flowers for my design.  So, I got creative and decided to paint these white flowers from Michael's in pinks and metallic gold. This was a perfect match with the beautiful Kaisercraft patterned paper I used.  Everlasting  is the name of the paper collection and is so full of floral and feminine touches. Just perfect for moms.

Take a look at my collection.

I added a little metallic gold to the pink flowers and a little pink to some of the gold ones.

Made this flower years ago out of tulle. So pretty!

I made these next cards using some of my art. Copies were made and added to 5x7 cards. Then, I stamped the sentiment on top.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

  1. Your cards are amazing! I love the 3-D flowers. Your painting of them to match the backgrounds is awesome. I also love that you made prints of your original artwork and used THOSE on cards. Very cool!

  2. Wow, Kelly, thanks for the info on painting those Michaels' flowers. They are gorgeous with the touches of gold in the pink. I love the cards made with your art. You are doing amazing work with your art. What a great idea to use the prints for the covers of your cards. I hope your name appears on the flower bouquets. You deserve the credit for the art.

  3. Beautiful cards. Reproducing your art for the cards was a great idea. I have some white Michael's flowers somewhere that I should try painting, too.

Relaunch of Our Business

Kelly & Ron Roberts Today, Ron and I are announcing the relaunch of our K. Simone Designs business. For those of you that are new to our work and site, click   ABOUT US   for more information.   In short, we started our business selling my handmade greeting cards in 2011. We sold and donated lots of cards and enjoyed bringing smiles to our customer's faces. In 2019, we took a long break. Since then, art has become my main interest and I have been drawing, painting and improving my skills. Art has been a wonderful outlet and joy for me and I have loved encouraging others with these creations.  So now K. Simone Designs will focus on our Inspired Art business. Our greeting cards are on hold for now but they are still apart of our brand. Also, I will continue to create YouTube papercrafting videos and add more resources to my arts and crafts directory. Our goal with all these creative products is to inspire others with love, hope, joy and peace. Here are so...

Our Romantic Anniversary Dinner

Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been great.  Today I wanted  to share some of our wedding anniversary pictures with you.  Last Sunday, my hubby arranged for us to have a romantic dinner at the very place where we had our wedding reception.  I was so excited when I found out that they set up a table for us to have the whole banquet room to ourselves.  How great was that??? The restaurant is right on the bay and has the most spectacular  views.  So when we arrived they had a table set up for us right by the windows so we could get an even better view.  They had the rest of the room set up for an event but I still could remember how it looked the night of our wedding with the lights and the dance floor.  Plus the left side of the room is nothing but windows so you can see more of this secluded bay. So as we dined we watched the sunset and it was so fabulous.  Even at night all the lights from the surroundin...

My Birthday Blog Party

Welcome to my Birthday Blog Party! I am starting my celebration early to fully enjoy my day. My actual birthday is May 29th but why not start early right? :) When I think of birthdays past, they were always such exciting times for me. Many of my birthdays were celebrated with fun parties from my childhood to my young adult years. I loved all of those special parties and to this day, I still love it. Maybe this is where my love for event planning all started. At my 3rd birthday, my parents gave me a big one. I don't really remember but the pictures are so cool. I had lots of kids there, a clown, a little merry-go-round ride and lots of games. I had a white little outfit on and was looking so cute for a Spring party. Boy, I looked so happy! Also, I was brave not to be afraid of the clown, too. My mom was holding me as I blew the candles out. Another year, I had my first slumber party. That was so fun! I invited several friends and ...
