My YouTube Channel Is GROWING

Happy August everyone! Today's blog is about my YouTube channel and good updates. Since I started in June, I have published 10 videos!!! Also, I have gone from 3 to 69 subscribers! Yay! I dreamed of creating my own videos and I still can't believe this dream has come true. I am loving the process and learning so much about all the digital and technical stuff, too.

It has been a pleasure for me to bring you into my home sharing some of my experience with you. So far I have made scrapbooking layouts, journals and mini cards and albums. Next, I will to do some art tutorials.

Also, I am starting a new series called, "Story Time With..." I will take you through some of the art I have made in the past and tell the stories behind them. So stay tuned for that.

My channel now has an introduction video I made with Placeit. They have lots of free and low cost templates you can use and I had a ball creating this intro. Take a look!

Here are my last three videos or you can visit my channel and see them all if you haven't already.

  1. Kelly, your cards were also in the Featured section of Scrapbook.com. I spotted it early in the day, but didn't get back to my computer to tell you. You should be very proud of your work.

My Birthday Blog Party

Welcome to my Birthday Blog Party! I am starting my celebration early to fully enjoy my day. My actual birthday is May 29th but why not start early right? :) When I think of birthdays past, they were always such exciting times for me. Many of my birthdays were celebrated with fun parties from my childhood to my young adult years. I loved all of those special parties and to this day, I still love it. Maybe this is where my love for event planning all started. At my 3rd birthday, my parents gave me a big one. I don't really remember but the pictures are so cool. I had lots of kids there, a clown, a little merry-go-round ride and lots of games. I had a white little outfit on and was looking so cute for a Spring party. Boy, I looked so happy! Also, I was brave not to be afraid of the clown, too. My mom was holding me as I blew the candles out. Another year, I had my first slumber party. That was so fun! I invited several friends and ...

Vintage Layout

I wanted to share this layout with you all. I recently submitted a design team application and I had to make a layout. I haven't made a layout in years so it was a nice challenge. I enjoyed making the first one so much I wanted to try another one. This one is dedicated to my sweet grandmother, Thelma Cobbs. This was her college picture back in the 1930's. I just love this picture of her, the sepia tone color and the style is so classic.  Her style has influenced my artistic approach.  I loved all her lace handkerchiefs, hats, gloves, purses and jewel. So I have taken a lot of her traditional, glamours style and use it on my cards and now layouts.  I know she would be so proud to see her fashion sense in my work. Maybe it is my way of keeping her alive and close to me.  Love and miss you Nana! Supplies used are: Webster's Pages patterned paper, Scenic Route rub-on words, Prima flowers, leaves from Michael's, form adhesive on the lady images, cream ribbon and white...
