Our 15th Wedding Anniversary

On January 28, my husband Ron and I just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary!!! Had a marvelous time creating a great weekend considering our quarantine world. Some of the things we did included ordering dinner from the Cheesecake Factory, exchanging greeting cards, and looking at our wedding album.

Here is the card I made for him. I think it turned out nice.

My favorite moment this weekend was when we visited our wedding reception at Seal Beach, California. It was a gorgeous, cold day and we had a great time! The original reception site has been changed from a banquet hall to an office but our memories will last forever. (Still upset they did that!) LOL!

It was so bright out there I could barely keep my eyes open! LOL!

Then, we drove over to the beach and parked right in front of the surf and sands. As the sun went down, the warm glow kissed our faces.

Nothing like a Seal Beach sunset! It was glorious!

Thank you for visiting this anniversary post! God bless and be inspired!

  1. What a sweet way to celebrate #15. Congratulations! I love the card you made for your husband. You make the most amazing card/albums. Glad you had a great time. I have only eaten at the Cheesecake Factory once, but the food and desserts were delicious. I wish we had one closer. Congrats again on 15 wonderful years together, my friend.

My Birthday Blog Party

Welcome to my Birthday Blog Party! I am starting my celebration early to fully enjoy my day. My actual birthday is May 29th but why not start early right? :) When I think of birthdays past, they were always such exciting times for me. Many of my birthdays were celebrated with fun parties from my childhood to my young adult years. I loved all of those special parties and to this day, I still love it. Maybe this is where my love for event planning all started. At my 3rd birthday, my parents gave me a big one. I don't really remember but the pictures are so cool. I had lots of kids there, a clown, a little merry-go-round ride and lots of games. I had a white little outfit on and was looking so cute for a Spring party. Boy, I looked so happy! Also, I was brave not to be afraid of the clown, too. My mom was holding me as I blew the candles out. Another year, I had my first slumber party. That was so fun! I invited several friends and ...

Vintage Layout

I wanted to share this layout with you all. I recently submitted a design team application and I had to make a layout. I haven't made a layout in years so it was a nice challenge. I enjoyed making the first one so much I wanted to try another one. This one is dedicated to my sweet grandmother, Thelma Cobbs. This was her college picture back in the 1930's. I just love this picture of her, the sepia tone color and the style is so classic.  Her style has influenced my artistic approach.  I loved all her lace handkerchiefs, hats, gloves, purses and jewel. So I have taken a lot of her traditional, glamours style and use it on my cards and now layouts.  I know she would be so proud to see her fashion sense in my work. Maybe it is my way of keeping her alive and close to me.  Love and miss you Nana! Supplies used are: Webster's Pages patterned paper, Scenic Route rub-on words, Prima flowers, leaves from Michael's, form adhesive on the lady images, cream ribbon and white...
