My Largest Card & Other Card Creations

Happy Sunday! Hope your July has been a good one so far. I have made several cards and wanted to share a few with you. First, one of our customers wanted us to make a card for her pastor's wife. The pastor's wife happens to be my mother-in-law and of course I was so honored to make something to celebrate her birthday. This card was the largest card I've made so far. (The size is 6x10 inches) It was a fun challenge and love how it turned out. Plus Ron did a great job writing something special for the inside. I know this going to bring great joy to a woman that deserves this honor! Take a look. I used Prima pp on this white cardstock, Jolee's white fabric flower with jewels, bling swirls from Zva, rhinestone strip from David Tutera Collection and green leaves from Recollections. This lavendar lace paper in so pretty with the silver and white flower. I added the lace paper from the front to the inside right. Then on the left I added her picture as a backgoun...

Crate Paper Mini Album Card

Happy Tuesday! I love flowers and so I really enjoyed making this mini album card for my sweet mother-in-law's birthday. I have made so much with the Pretty Party Crate Paper Collection. Here is the link to their whole collection.  Crate Paper So with some of my leftovers I created this lovely mini. My inspiration for all my creations using Crate Paper came from this  Two Peas Member  . The colors and flowers just feel like a vintage, lazy Summer. Here are some pictures of this card.  I can't wait for my mother-in-law to receive this card and beam with joy as she looks through it. Loved cutting out more of these flowers and adding them to the yellow lace paper. Also, I cut out the yellow edge and inked it with brown ink for a vintage look. Here is a closer look! Loved making these pockets throughout the album card. This one is a "Happy Birthday" tag. I added the rose to the top of the tag. Here is another pocket on the left with two ta...

Wedding Bliss Collection

My father was a school picture photographer and also did weddings. I was his handy dandy assistant on many of these ocassions. Ever since then, I have loved weddings and wedding pictures. Then, after I got married I fell more in love with weddings. All the creativity, styles and event elements inspire me. So in celebration of wedding season, I have created some beautiful cards just for weddings. I loved using this special handmade pearlized floral paper. I just love it! Also, added silver glitter paper and these gorgerous white flowers. These cards are truly keepsakes.  So if you need a special card to take to that Summer wedding, look at our selection. They will be posted in our Etsy shop and available for purchase this week. www.kellyron.etsy.com Take a look at these beauties... Birthday Cards

Well, Summer is here and hope yours is going well so far. I got an order from my sweet mother-in-law for some birthday cards. She wanted some for women and men. Of course the male cards are always a challenge for me but a good one. All the cards are 6x6 in size and I used Prima patterned paper, glitter cardstock, purple bling and green statin ribbon for the ladies cards. Also, I used my Spellbinders die to make the sentiment tags. For the male cards, I used Simple Stories patterned paper. I love the way they turned out and hope she will love sending them to her loved ones. Thanks Mom!!!! Take a look. Loved using the purple glitter paper with these cards. Adds an extra sparkle! Love that the off white paper has a faded map on it. Cool! Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Yellow Lace Paper Cards

Happy Wednesday! Hope June has been good to you so far. I have enjoying making more cards using Crate Paper's "Pretty Party" collection. The yellow lace paper is so vintage and the florals are so beautiful. I scrap lifted this idea from a fabulous layout created by a fellow Two Pea member. Check her page out. Two Peas Gallery Here are a few 6x6 size cards I made. I hand cut the flowers and inked the edges. They came out so pretty and feminine. I sent a few to my aunts-in-laws. I am sure these cards brighten up their day. Take a look! Love the roses! This pink ink is a little too light but looks pretty in person. Hope you enjoyed looking at these pretty cards. They sure make me feel happy and hope you felt the same. Have a great day!

Lazy Summer Note Card Collection

Happy June everyone! I hope your Summer has started off great. Today I am sharing some cute new note cards from my "Lazy Summer" collection. After making tons of 6x6 cards it is a great change to make these smaller cards. As mentioned on another blog post, I used Crate Paper's "Pretty Party" patterned paper for some of these cards. The patterns feel like a warm Summer day. I would like to give credit to one of the Two Peas members for the hand cut flower and pearl idea. Here is her page that inspired the following cards. Beautiful! rophilippsen layout Here is the first group of cards I made using this fun idea. I also distressed the edges of the flowers and larger piece of paper with brown ink. Gave it a nice vintage feel. Now, here are some other cards I made using ribbon. I just love these floral patterns papers, too. Used Echo Park patterned paper of these. Can't remember if the gingham is EP, too. I love this soft yellow ribbon....
