NEW Video: Tags & Paper Pads Layout

Today's video tutorial is all about scrapbooking tags and paper pads. In this video, I shared how I made my tags and turned them into a tag book/cluster. Also, I showed how I used 6x6 patterned paper as the background of my page. My idea and inspiration for this layout and video came from two awesome papercrafters, Heidi Swapp and YouTuber  SheShed Scrapper, Melanie .   Heidi made some pretty Valentine's tags that I really liked and Melanie shared some ideas of how to use  6x6 paper pads on a layout. So I combined the two ideas for my layout. Here is the video link. Have you subscribed to my channel yet? I hope you will today! VIDEO HERE I used Heidi Swapp's "Storyline Chapter" collection which gave this layout a soft and feminine look. The other supplies used are listed in the description box of the video. Here are the links for Heidi and Melanie. Check out their wonderful creativity! Heidi Swapp Website Melanie's YouTube Channel I hope you enjoyed seeing th...

NEW Video: Heidi Swapp Inspired Tag Books

Love is in the air! I just love Valentine's Day. To celebrate it,  I created these pretty tag books in my NEW YouTube tutorial. (Video Link HERE) Recently, Heidi Swapp shared a beautiful tag book on Instagram and it inspired me to try this project. She used her Minc machine and since I don't have one, I decided to use embossing powder to heat emboss and it worked great. Also, if you are interested in Heidi's Minc class called "Minc Love" here is the link.  Minc Tag Book Class Aren't her tags pretty??? Check out my step by step process for making these tags here in the video tutorial. My supply list is in the description box of the video. I hope you will give it a try. VIDEO TUTORIAL HERE Here are some close up pictures of the tags embossed in metallic gold and glitter black. This was such a fun project to try and I enjoyed trying something a little different this year. Thanks for stopping by today, be inspired and Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Our 15th Wedding Anniversary

On January 28, my husband Ron and I just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary!!! Had a marvelous time creating a great weekend considering our quarantine world. Some of the things we did included ordering dinner from the Cheesecake Factory, exchanging greeting cards, and looking at our wedding album.  Here is the card I made for him. I think it turned out nice. My favorite moment this weekend was when we visited our wedding reception at Seal Beach, California. It was a gorgeous, cold day and we had a great time! The original reception site has been changed from a banquet hall to an office but our memories will last forever. (Still upset they did that!) LOL! It was so bright out there I could barely keep my eyes open! LOL! Then, we drove over to the beach and parked right in front of the surf and sands. As the sun went down, the warm glow kissed our faces.  Nothing like a Seal Beach sunset! It was glorious! Thank you for visiting this anniversary post! God bless and be inspi...

NEW VIDEO: My Husband Scrapbooks With Me- His 1st Time

When I started creating YouTube videos last year, I thought about having my husband Ron join me on a tutorial. So I am happy to announce that he made his video debut in this NEW video called, "Husband Scrapbooks With Me." This was his first time scrapbooking! He was a little nervous but once we started filming he was a pro. He assisted me in making this popular layout that was featured in the gallery of  Scrapbook.com earlier this month. They featured it for a week! So, I thought it would be fun to show you all how I made it plus an easy design for my husband to learn from. I hope you stop and see how we did in our first video together! Also, we chatted about our Christmas last year. VIDEO LINK HERE We had a good time making this video and layout together. Maybe he will come on another video this year. Fingers crossed! LOL! Have a great day and be inspired!

Happy New Year!!! 2020 was a challenging year for all of us. But when I look back I was surprised at all the good that happened to me and my business, K. Simone Designs. Today, I will be sharing my top five favorite moments of 2020. Let's go! 1. New Blog/Website- In March 2020, I launched a new blog called, "Inspired Me 411." It is an arts and crafts resource directory I created to house all the creative information I have found and/or used over the years. When the pandemic hit and I was so glad I had this resource available. My goal was to encourage and inspire others to craft their way through the stress of 2020. Crafting has definitely helped me get through these uncertain days. WEBSITE HERE 2. New YouTube Channel Videos- In June 2020,  I was so thrilled to create my first ever craft videos for YouTube. For years, I dreamed of making papercrafting and art tutorial videos and it felt so great to finally accomplish my goal. I published 38 videos, gained 117 subscribers a...
