New Art Drawing

Happy Wednesday! I started a new drawing last month. I saw this gorgeous picture of model turned fashion industry leader, Bethann Hardison in Essence Magazine. I loved her head wrap and the character in her face. She looked so joyful and even glowed in the photograph.

I worked on it for a while and am pleased with how she turned out. Not sure if I am finished with it yet but here is what I have done so far. Take a look.

The hardest parts for me to draw are the mouth, lips and teeth. I feel proud that they look close to the picture. Practice makes perfect they say. So, that is what I plan on doing.

Have you ever tried drawing? Leave a comment below if you do. It has been one of the many surprise interest I have developed over the years.

Well, I hope you are enjoying whatever creative activities you are doing. Keep it going all and have a great day!

P.S. Subscribe if you haven't already. Thanks!

  1. Your drawing is beautiful, Kelly. In Jr. High I took a class in Art from a teacher who was a good friend of my dad. Dad told her that I really wanted to take Band, but it meant giving up Art for the following year. The teacher told him, "She might be more successful in Band". LOL That was the end of the Art classes! I think I am crafty, but not at all artistic.

  3. Your drawing is stunning!
Her smile makes me want to smile
I have done a few drawings...but more characters than real people.

Relaunch of Our Business

Kelly & Ron Roberts Today, Ron and I are announcing the relaunch of our K. Simone Designs business. For those of you that are new to our work and site, click   ABOUT US   for more information.   In short, we started our business selling my handmade greeting cards in 2011. We sold and donated lots of cards and enjoyed bringing smiles to our customer's faces. In 2019, we took a long break. Since then, art has become my main interest and I have been drawing, painting and improving my skills. Art has been a wonderful outlet and joy for me and I have loved encouraging others with these creations.  So now K. Simone Designs will focus on our Inspired Art business. Our greeting cards are on hold for now but they are still apart of our brand. Also, I will continue to create YouTube papercrafting videos and add more resources to my arts and crafts directory. Our goal with all these creative products is to inspire others with love, hope, joy and peace. Here are so...

Our Romantic Anniversary Dinner

Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been great.  Today I wanted  to share some of our wedding anniversary pictures with you.  Last Sunday, my hubby arranged for us to have a romantic dinner at the very place where we had our wedding reception.  I was so excited when I found out that they set up a table for us to have the whole banquet room to ourselves.  How great was that??? The restaurant is right on the bay and has the most spectacular  views.  So when we arrived they had a table set up for us right by the windows so we could get an even better view.  They had the rest of the room set up for an event but I still could remember how it looked the night of our wedding with the lights and the dance floor.  Plus the left side of the room is nothing but windows so you can see more of this secluded bay. So as we dined we watched the sunset and it was so fabulous.  Even at night all the lights from the surroundin...

My Birthday Blog Party

Welcome to my Birthday Blog Party! I am starting my celebration early to fully enjoy my day. My actual birthday is May 29th but why not start early right? :) When I think of birthdays past, they were always such exciting times for me. Many of my birthdays were celebrated with fun parties from my childhood to my young adult years. I loved all of those special parties and to this day, I still love it. Maybe this is where my love for event planning all started. At my 3rd birthday, my parents gave me a big one. I don't really remember but the pictures are so cool. I had lots of kids there, a clown, a little merry-go-round ride and lots of games. I had a white little outfit on and was looking so cute for a Spring party. Boy, I looked so happy! Also, I was brave not to be afraid of the clown, too. My mom was holding me as I blew the candles out. Another year, I had my first slumber party. That was so fun! I invited several friends and ...
