My New Resource Directory

Today, I am happy to announce the start of my NEW blog Inspired Me 411. It is an arts and crafts directory of resources I have used over the years. Inspired Me 411 is the "baby" of Inspired Me. My blog had a baby!!! LOL! Now, I will have two blogs to enjoy and share with you.

This directory is a one-stop-shop organized in the following categories: Papercrafting, Arts & Art Journaling, Fiber Arts, General Crafts and Mind & Body. There are lists of websites, organizations, events, classes and articles that I will be updating periodically.  Plus, I will be writing blog posts on any related and interesting things I find.

"411" is for everyone, new or experienced, looking for good information to help you grow your creativity. When I started making greeting cards in 2006, I didn't find many places to get ideas or supplies. It wasn't until I stumbled upon Two Peas In A Bucket website that my creativity took off. I learned so much, had fun making friends and sharing my cards. Since then, I have collected all kinds of information to use with the over 20 arts and crafts I have made.

These days, you can use Google, Pinterest and even Instagram to find anything you need. That's a lot to look through, but "411" is full of highly recommended sites all in one place. So you don't have to search all over to find great information.

I created Inspired Me 411 to help you the way I was helped. Arts and crafts have been a comfort to me and I believe it can be a source of fun, therapy and inspiration for you and your family especially in these challenging times.

I hope you find this new site fun and helpful. Stop by and check it out.
Please SUBSCRIBE and share this site with a friend.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Our Romantic Anniversary Dinner

Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been great.  Today I wanted  to share some of our wedding anniversary pictures with you.  Last Sunday, my hubby arranged for us to have a romantic dinner at the very place where we had our wedding reception.  I was so excited when I found out that they set up a table for us to have the whole banquet room to ourselves.  How great was that??? The restaurant is right on the bay and has the most spectacular  views.  So when we arrived they had a table set up for us right by the windows so we could get an even better view.  They had the rest of the room set up for an event but I still could remember how it looked the night of our wedding with the lights and the dance floor.  Plus the left side of the room is nothing but windows so you can see more of this secluded bay. So as we dined we watched the sunset and it was so fabulous.  Even at night all the lights from the surroundin...

Happy Hearts

Today I will be sharing one a several painting I recently finished. This one is one of my favorites. I wanted to try two faces and just love how they turned out. It was fun going crazy with the multi-colored background. The hearts were made using my new favorite thing to make from toilet paper rolls- STAMPS.  I saw them on Julie Balzer's blog. Toilet Paper Tube Stamps  Then I used my fingers to paint the inside of the hearts. So neat! Take a look and I hope you feel the love and joy in this piece. Aren't the afro's fabulous!!! LOL! They were my first try and look pretty darn good. The little girls afro puff is so cute and reminds me of the ones I had as a child.   I love the hearts on their clothes. I used my stencil to make the design then painted around just to show the insides. Hope you enjoyed and come back this week to see some other paintings. Have a good one!

Cupcakes Anyone?

Happy Fall! Last Summer I took a cupcake decorating class at Michael's and I loved it. It was really great to learn the basics. This was all new to me and I was excited to try it out.  All Summer I wanted to make more but the weather got too hot to bake so I had to wait. Finally we had a break with some cooler temps and I was able to get back to these yummy treats.   I made two of my favorite colors: happy sunny yellow and hot pink. Oh, and they tasted good too.        Have you tried cupcake or cake decorating before? Isn't it like art? Maybe that is why I love it. Now I can't wait to make some more. Thanks for stopping by!
