Last Sunday, my husband and I went to the Orange County Museum of Art to see the "Yves Saint Laurent: Line and Expression" show. It was excellent and I am so glad we were able to go.
Here is a video I made sharing our experience. Check it out.
Yves Saint Laurent was a famous French fashion designer known for his YSL and Saint Laurent brands. After reading his Wikipedia page, he was quite a trailblazer in couture and ready to wear designs.
As we walked the museum, we saw Saint Laurent's beautiful sketches and fashions. Before we got there, I was excited to see the gowns but the sketches surprisingly captured my attention. Seeing his hand drawings really personalized this global icon into a regular artist with extraordinary ideas.
As a growing artist, his work inspired me to dream bigger and practice my sketching. Also, it was interesting to see his creative evolution from dark to vivid colors and styles.
I hope you watch this video and feel inspired to be more excellent in your life work, too. Enjoy!
Bravo, Mr. Yves Saint Laurent! Bravo, Orange County Museum of Art!
