VIDEO- Yves Saint Laurent Exhibit 2024

Last Sunday, my husband and I went to the Orange County Museum of Art to see the "Yves Saint Laurent: Line and Expression" show. It was excellent and I am so glad we were able to go.

Yves Saint Laurent was a famous French fashion designer known for his YSL and Saint Laurent brands. After reading his Wikipedia page, he was quite a trailblazer in couture and ready to wear designs.

As we walked the museum, we saw Saint Laurent's beautiful sketches and fashions. Before we got there, I was excited to see the gowns but the sketches surprisingly captured my attention. Seeing his hand drawings really personalized this global icon into a regular artist with extraordinary ideas.

As a growing artist, his work inspired me to dream bigger and practice my sketching. Also, it was interesting to see his creative evolution from dark to vivid colors and styles.

Relaunch of Our Business

Kelly & Ron Roberts Today, Ron and I are announcing the relaunch of our K. Simone Designs business. For those of you that are new to our work and site, click ABOUT US for more information. In short, we started our business selling my handmade greeting cards in 2011. We sold and donated lots of cards and enjoyed bringing smiles to our customer's faces. In 2019, we took a long break. Since then, art has become my main interest and I have been drawing, painting and improving my skills. My Birthday Blog Party

Welcome to my Birthday Blog Party! I am starting my celebration early to fully enjoy my day. My actual birthday is May 29th but why not start early right? :) When I think of birthdays past, they were always such exciting times for me. Many of my birthdays were celebrated with fun parties from my childhood to my young adult years. I loved all of those special parties and to this day, I still love it. Maybe this is where my love for event planning all started. At my 3rd birthday, my parents gave me a big one. I don't really remember but the pictures are so cool. Emmy's 2010

Did you watch the red carpet last night for the Emmy's? I love watching these award show red carpets more than the show itself. I just saw the pictures online. One the sites I looked at was radaronline.com. These pictures are from there. First, I liked the navy blue one. The dress had lots of drama and she wore it well. The purple one was interesting. Still trying to decide if I like it. Maybe it would have been better with the layers on the bottom but not both. I really love the color and the idea.
