Wedding Anniversary Cards

Hello all! Hope you have had a great week. February is almost over and I want to share a few more things I did in this month. One of my best clients (my mother-in-law) requested some special thank you cards for their wedding anniversary celebration. I just love creating for weddings and related events. Yes, I am a romantic! I got this special handmade paper for an art supply store in Orange County. It comes in poster size sheets and is beautiful. So here is a look at some of the cards I made for them. Other supplies came from Michael's. Love cutting out all these flowers to use as embellishments. Adding this picture and personalized sentiment are a great touch. Used these cream colored pearlized matching envelops. I was so happy of how these cards turned out. My mother-in-law loved them. She said one of the ladies that received one of these cards was carrying it around and showing other. So exciting! Thanks for looking!

Valentines In Review

Hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day! I just love creating cards for this lovey dovey holiday. In this post I will share some of the other cards I made and a special surprise.  OK, first the surprise! We had some extra cards and sent them to our local sports radio station. I am a regular listener to 710 am ESPN radio. Love it! So my hubby and I thought it would be a fun idea to send some cards to the various hosts. We were hoping they would enjoy personally using our cards for their loved ones. Well, sent the cards and was just wishing maybe someone would at least send us a thank you by way of Twitter or email. Boy, did we get more than that. On Valentine's Day, a friend emailed me to say, "U are on the radio!" I was like what? So glad she heard it because I missed it. Take a listen. (Listen around the 12:30 mark) 710 ESPN Radio Isn't that awesome? I was so excited and this made our Valentines night extra special. Thank you Steve Mason and ESPN! Also, he...

Meet My Ancestor Samantha

Wow, I haven't posted in a while and have so much to share. So, I guess I will slow down and do one post at a time. This post is in celebration of Black History Month. If fact, I will call it "My History Month." For a while now, I wanted to share about some of my family genealogy. I love doing family research and once I got on Ancestry.com I was even more hooked. A few years ago, my mom was introduced to a lady that can research your family tree. She researched all the information and printed out several notebooks for us. We were so excited with some the names and documents she found. My mom had researched our family years ago but these documents revealed new names we never knew about.  With all this information, we were inspired to share it with the family. So, we put a family tree book together from all four sides of my family. It took us while to compile all the stories and pictures but it was a labor of love. It included lots of pictures, stories, and family trees...

Vintage Love is Here

I love making greeting cards for Valentine's Day. When my husband and I were dating, he started a tradition of giving each other cards for special occasions. I hadn't been a big card person then but after he started giving me so many great cards, I loved it. I loved giving as much as receiving them. Valentine's Day was one of the best times to get a wonderful card from him. So you can say, he is one of the reasons I got into card making. I loved that feeling of receiving a card from someone I loved and loved me. So with that in mind, we are happy to introduce our "Vintage Love" Collection . I enjoyed creating a daytime and night time versions of these cards. I love the variety that came from my limited supplies. If you need a special card for your loved ones, they will be available in our Etsy store (  www.kellyron.etsy.com   ) for $5.00 each plus shipping and handling . Also, if you would like us to type your expressions on the inside of the card or a organ...

Coloring Books

Coloring books... I love them. A few years ago before my artistic discovery, my husband bought me some coloring books with paints. I had been feeling like I wanted to color and paint out of the blue. I hadn't painted probably since elementary school. So I jumped in and started coloring with crayons, then colored pencils and finally paints. I was so surprised how much I enjoyed this. It was so relaxing and expressive. I recently got back into the mood and started coloring again. It seems to help me in between card making projects. The colors fill up my creative tank so I have more to give to other artsy passions. Here is a page I did that I just love! I love butterflies and color so this was a perfect combo for me. I added some inspirational words for me and that was it. I have this posted so everyday I can be reminded of my beauty, worth and purpose. Live In Color So, when is the last time you picked up a coloring book? I have Disney books and they are fun. Get your kid...

January Card Challenge 2012

Happy New Year to you all! Hope your holidays were wonderful with family and friends. Also, I want to thank all of you that follow me and/or commented on my blog. Creatively, 2011 was a fantastic year for me and looking forward to more fun, exciting projects and opportunities this year. Ok, here is the new January card challenge for Scrapping the Moments. I thought after all the busy holidays we could do an easy challenge. I am sure you all have scraps leftover from all the beautiful layouts and cards you made. So the challenge is to use your scraps to make a card. Directions: Use any shape or size scraps of leftover paper on a card. Make it as simple or fancy as you want. Here is what I did. I cut several strips of paper and adhered them to the card. That was it. Check it out! Used white and pink cs, Echo Paper patterned paper, and the flower is from American Girl Crafts. Join us over at Scrapping the Moments for more information on this challenge and fun! January C...
