Christmas Cards Part 2

Welcome back to part 2 of my Christmas card collection. If you missed part 1 of this collection click HERE .   I just love how many varieties I was able to make using the Echo Park "I Love Christmas" paper kit. I love using flowers. They give the cards such a feminine touch. The red velvet flowers were from Michaels and the paper flowers I made with my dies.        Thanks for stopping by. I will post the final part soon. Take care!

Christmas Cards Part 1

Hope you and your loved ones had a cheerful Christmas.  I made lots of Christmas cards from the Echo Park "I Love Christmas" Collection  .We sold out everything I made for my K. Simone Designs business and that was exciting. Plus, I made a few more for my personal use. My mojo for making these cards came later than usual but glad it showed up. Now I still want to make a few more and Christmas is over. LOL Here are a few.        I will be sharing more on my next post. Stay tuned and have a nice day!

Cupcakes Anyone?

Happy Fall! Last Summer I took a cupcake decorating class at Michael's and I loved it. It was really great to learn the basics. This was all new to me and I was excited to try it out.  All Summer I wanted to make more but the weather got too hot to bake so I had to wait. Finally we had a break with some cooler temps and I was able to get back to these yummy treats.   I made two of my favorite colors: happy sunny yellow and hot pink. Oh, and they tasted good too.        Have you tried cupcake or cake decorating before? Isn't it like art? Maybe that is why I love it. Now I can't wait to make some more. Thanks for stopping by!

Looking Back- K. Simone Designs

Happy Summer! I hope you are enjoying yourselves so far. I know many of you have heard of #throwbackthursday on social media. So this  #throwbacksunday. LOL! Last May, we reactivated our K. Simone Designs greeting card business.  Since then, we have been planning and working on some new goals. Doing all this has taken me back down memory. Boy, I have made SO many cards and we were fortunate to have some great experiences, too. Today, I will be sharing one of my favorite experiences from 2011, our first year in business. Some of you may remember I blogged about our first opportunity to sell our cards at actress Tori Spelling's former store, Inventori. That was such an amazing time and gave us great excitement and joy. Ron and I at Inventori. Didn't my card babies look good on that table? :) Her staff was so kind and worked well with us. Store staff Jennifer and Anthony with me Our holiday cards Then, later that yea...

Mother's Day Cards & Our Business

Happy May everyone! April 2011, my husband and I started our card business, K. Simone Designs.  So many of you were on the exciting journey with us watching our business grow. We sold lots of cards and lifted lots of spirits which is the best feeling. Happy to announce, after a nice break, we are back at it. This time around we also have my art which is available at  Society 6 . So happy to be making cards again and looking forward to all the new adventures this time around. Here are some of the Mother's Day cards we SOLD and so happy they will be bringing joy to the ladies that will receive them. Loved using Kaisercrafts "Cottage Rose" paper collection.     Thanks for all the encouragement over the years and wishing all you moms a wonderful Mother's Day!

NEW ART "Field of Rest"

Today, I am happy to share my new painting called "Field of Rest." This 16x20 art is my first landscape and full person painting on canvas. It was a fun challenge and I just love how it turned out. I guess all those mornings watching the legendary t.v. painter Bob Ross paid off. LOL! Also, the trees and sky really turned out so nice. It was a struggle but after some playing around they look so life-like. Also, the dress makes me smile. I love pink and I love the airy look. Doesn't this breezy field of poppy flowers feel relaxing? And look at those butterflies bringing me peace and joy. Life's journey can be stressful at times and this painting reminds me to take a break and enjoy a restful place as I recharge my batteries. I hope this picture brings you joy today, too.     Thanks for stopping by. Have a nice day!

New Art Show Video

Today I am so excited to present my new virtual art show entitled, "Imperfectly Beautiful".  It is a collection of mixed media art I created in 2015. This art reflects some of my inner conversations when I need a reminder of my own self worth and beauty. I hope this video inspires you in some way as we are all on a life-long journey of self discovery and acceptance. Enjoy!

Christmas Highlight Part 4

Thanks to all of you that visited each of these four days. I enjoyed posting some of my holiday joys with you. Today is the last day and I will be sharing some scrapbook layouts I did over the last few days and weeks. Each  page includes some hidden journaling and that was fun thinking of where to put them. Here goes! Made the bow out of that beautiful glitter paper. I added the tissue paper to make this look like a gift bag. These glitter letters actually came off a gift bag and it was fun using it on a page.   Love making more of these tulle flowers. A friend made a pocket layout for her holiday cards and I wanted to try it too. Great way to save those precious cards from family and friends. Hope you enjoyed these layouts and my holiday highlights. Have a marvelous day!

Christmas Highlight Part 3

Happy Wednesday and I hope the new year has been good to you all so far. Today's post will feature a mini album card and an envelope card. I made the mini album for my in-laws and the envelope card for my sweet husband. Take a look! I love making this happy flower from tulle. The pp is from MME. Each right side of the card has a pocket for notes and goodies. Now here is the card I made with three envelops. I painted it and it turned out fun. Ron loved it and enjoyed finding things in the pockets of the card. Thanks for stopping by and tomorrow I will have more to share. Take care!

Christmas Highlights Part 2

Today I will share some cards I made for Christmas. It was fun trying different styles and shapes from what I normally do. Take a look! Loved using my scalloped dies on this one. I made the flower out of red glitter tulle.       My next post will be more cards. Hope you stop by. Thanks and have a nice day.
